Snap On FV71 needs help

Hello all this is my first post, but I have been lurking for a while now. I have searched many of the old posts, but have not found a solid answer as to which rebuild kit will fit an old FV71.

I have one that was my grandfathers, most likely from WWII, that has several broken teeth. I would love to use it as it was his, and it just seems to fit my hand.

When I called SO, they were little help telling me that there was no kit, and they would not warranty the item. She seemed not to believe me that I was not interested in a warranty replacement.

If I can not get it working it will stay in my box as a reminder of him.

The V in the part number of that ratchet denotes a military issue. There is no warranty on military issue tools. You can purchase an RKRA380 repair kit for that ratchet and you can rebuild it.

Good info. I was going to try and get my dad's FV71 warrantied. The ratchet fell into his pocket in Vietnam.

I will buy the kit... any idea if it comes with the selector switch? His is broken off.
