Are you gonna be doing a coop as a student? Or just going to work? In the hd truck industry, plan on needing alot of tools. I had a craftsman 40", top, middle and bottom. I ran out of room in like 4 months. Then had a tripple stack crafstman 26" as a catch all, maxed that out and had stuff in travel boxes under my work bench.
I'm not saying run out and buy an epiq, but a 24" deep drawer is nice.... hell a 29/30" drawer is nicer. I'm rockin a classic 78 at home and I like it. Mine is older with only one top drawer. No matter what box you chose, make sure to save some cash for different wrench racks, socket trays and "junk trays." Huge space savers.
And ya know.... now that I think about it, what is the deal with people thinking that if you work in the field your box is getting a daily lashing? besides being opened a few more times a day then my home box It doesn't really get beat up... It's not like I show up to work... Flog my box a few times, slam a couple of drawers and start my day. So i guess I can and can't under stand the how does this or that box hold up to professional use threads. Any box will hold up if you respect it, don't over fill it and take care of it.
