I am getting my first box. I'm deciding between the midnight blue and flat black. I was thinking about getting the power strip, what other accessories should I get right away?

I got a 46 a couple months ago. Ordered the side adapter panel, I few hooks and holders. I also ordered clear drawer guards to match my 722s drawers. I thought about ordering the power strip but couldn't justify spending $60 for a power bar when I can get a regular bar for $10.

I recently purchased a brand new Snap-on KRL-1022 in Extreme Green from a private seller (never even had the handle installed nor were the drawer liners removed from their protective plastic shipping bag). I will be customizing it (using a nice KRL-7022 in Extreme Green that I also recently purchased) and only need one box, so I handed off my two custom KRSC46's (one 9-drawer and one 7-drawer) to my father which simply replaced his early version standard layout KRSC46's. I then promptly sold his "old" KRSC46's on the local Craigslist and basically broke even on the carts.

At any rate, I just thought I'd share a side-by-side "goodbye" photo of two awesome roll carts...

I'm wondering the same thing. Also wondering if there are other boxes that use the same drawers that could be swapped in.

This thread has been so useful to me. After watching all your posts, I finally purchased one. I bought this for my garage. I've always wanted a Snap On tool cart/box. I got some accessories on the way too. Thanks guys
Sorry for the crooked pics :)

Those of you with the 2" drawers, what's the biggest combo wrench you can fit on rack or rail system before they just need to lay flat? In my kra4055 I believe I have 30 mm before they need to lay flat. Are all snapon 2" drawers really the same, mine appear abit under...

Thanks for helping me find my next box. I'm thinking of four 2" and the remainder 4"

-Chris

I'm curious about the true height of the 2" drawers too. My 4" drawers in a KRSC343 are only 3.5".

Just took delivery of my KRSC430PKG7 with bed liner top and black drawer ends. Looking to see if there are 2 inch extreme green drawers that would match my set up. would love to swap out the top drawer for two 2 inch for wrenches and smaller stuff. Looking around the catalog I haven't found the KRA series drawers in green...anyone know if this is possible and if so what part the part numbers would be?

Now that *****. It does show still available in Canada. I wonder if there are a few in the warehouse here. Otherwise you could get a different colour and paint them.

Got some drawers and arranged the box a bit different, might add a side cab and take the triple bank home.

I’m considering getting the KRSC46 cart. What are the actual inside dimensions of the drawers? Snap On site says 36” wide and five 4” deep drawers and one 8” drawer. Are these dimensions accurate? What is the length front to back?

I work in a 1.1 million sf plant but am generally confined to a square acre or 2. I’m currently using the 30” US General cart. I’m assuming the Snap On cart will have much better casters and should push at least as well as the US General cart.

Does anyone have the Snap On side shelf for it? Near as I can tell from the picture online, it will take 2 hands to put it up. 1 to lift the top and 1 to lift the bottom support up to the top. I like that i can lift my US General side shelf with 1 hand.

Also, is it possible to mount the KAPS5 power strip and cord wrap on either side instead the back? I’m worried about snagging the cord wrap pushing the cart around.

Re: Snap on krsc46 mod thread .

I could definitely use some different sized drawers to gain some space... I need to look into that.

Can I custom order a box with the drawers how I want them? Like 4 2" drawers and then a couple 4" and on 8" on a KRSC46H?

How do I go about doing that?

Any help appreciated.

one 43 and one 430. carts are the same.. the tops are different for clearance on the mini drawers. so, if you have a 43 and want the mini drawers, you'd have to change the entire top section. prolly won't be cost effective to change a 43 into a 430

I just got a streamlight and have a regular lid. I’m looking at using magnetic hooks not sure if it would work for you

I was thinking of using something like command strips. Just not sure if they will work well with the rough surface of the bedliner top. I want it to be sturdy enough to withstand hooking the light up to charge and when pulling it off the charger without the charger coming off.

Just had another idea... thought about maybe somehow utilizing the screw holes in the center of the lid to make a mount that would be sturdy. Anyone happen to know what the thread pitch is for those holes?

my plan is drill holes in the lip platic of the charger set the charger on the 4 hooks and hang it. the hooks will be here tomorrow so when they show up ill let you know how it worked

I like this idea. A plate with holes for the lid and 4 tapped holes in the plate for the mount. No damage to either the lid or charger.

Probably the route I’m going to go, just need to figure out how to make something without looking like trash lol

So ya hanging from hooks didn’t work. I thought it was back to square one... key word being thought...

A stroke of genius hit me since the hook can be unscrewed from the magnet. I got a pack of 5 each one being extremely strong. So I unscrewed all the hooksZ mixed up some jbweld placed on all 4 corners plus one in the center and now I’m letting it set. And we shall see how that works.

Awesome. Be sure to take some pics of the final product! My only concern with the magnets is that they are going to pull off when you go to put the light on the charger or remove it. Hope it works for you!
