I tend to like the look and feel of snap-on tools better..but recently was way more impressed with cornwell warranty. I don't warranty tools much...but had a few things from each company that needed replaced I'd accumulated. Got the mail in addresses and instructions from a thread here on garage journal.
Mailed 2-3 sockets to snap-on that I thought were real straight forward.. And a socket , two screw extractors, and a twisted torx to cornwell. I actually didn't expect cornwell to replace anything other than the socket.
About a week or two after mailing them in I get a box from snap-on..open it up...they repackaged my old tools and sent them back with a note to call an 800 number.
A couple days later I get a package from cornwell. Brand new replacements for all that I sent in..no hassle..no BS.
Very impressed with cornwell warranty process.. Simple, fast, no BS. Snap-on on the other hand..fairly disappointed. I've got a local snap -on guy I can go to...just easier to mail and forget about it..or at least that's what I thought at the time. We'll see where the 800# gets me..
