Any way to remove this and keep it off without damaging the finish?

I use the maroon colored pad on the bottom of the stack in the picture. Follow the same grain direction that's in the pliers. Does a beautiful job. Makes it look factory.

Hello Wamsutta. Where do you find those pads? Especially the maroon one.
Thanks

one of the gripes I have about Snap on pliers. carrying them on my service truck makes them false rust in seconds.
Since the laser etching replaced stamped numbers, only a matter of a year or two before you can't make out the brand of tool, and there goes your warranty...
Hell, even the ones in my climate control garage rust. It makes me sick the amount of money Ive spent on snap on **** that rusts... yet all my knipex look new after a decade? hmmmmm

Mine are the same way, most my pliers are knipex, some princess auto, some rice-grip, some, schmitz. None have rusted like my one pair of snap-on wire strippers/crimpers.
