Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows about vintage military issue tools. I have a 3/8" ratchet from 1945 marked AT8022. Fairly sure this was made by Snap On as apart from the finish and markings it is identical to my 3/8" Snap On Ferret from 1944. From what i can find out i believe it was made for an aircraft tool kit. Maybe thats what the letters AT stand for, Aircraft Tool, Aviation Tool? I think these were made for planes using the Packard built Rolls Royce Merlin engine, P-51 Mustang etc. Just wondering if anyone can confirm this or tell me anything else about it. Are these quite common over there? Sorry no photos, thanks in advance for any info. Cheers, Andy.
