I have the dual 80 series ratchets T72 & F80 they are both brand new and i love them to bits, but i carnt help but notice that the drive that goes into the socket/extension is quite loose on the F80 causing a lot of wobble. Also the T72 when i fix it to a socket the socket wobbles all over the place, the socket doesnt drop off but is just very loose!

Should the socket not be securely tight in place, and the ratchet drive solid in position?????

All of mine hold sockets TIGHT, and none of them wobble on the male drive end. Part of the reason I prefer them to others is how tight the drive end is over Matco type designs. Rebuild kits or check with your driver.

Every T72 I've seen wobbles.

Although I believe you're referring to the socket not fitting tightly on the square drive? If so, that would have more to do with the detents on the sockets themselves.

Trony got told. :D

The ratchet drive end shouldn't be loose or sloppy on the Snap on ratchet. Maybe just a little play if you wiggle it hard, but not sloppy like a craftsman quick release.

Could be the sockets. Sockets are much more susceptible to inconsistencies than ratchets are.

Stick around long and enough and you learn to ignore certain members you post useless and often incoherent ****... There is even an ignore feature so you don't even have to see it, if only life could have that feature:bounce:

1/4'' deep, 8mm - 15mm all the same, if you put one on and hold the ratchet vertical the socket will droop

All of my ratchets, Snap on and others, have some play in the head. Every Proto I have handled has play in the square drive, both male and female ends.

I agree the 1/4" might have a little play, but all 5 of my 3/8" are all really tight. What brand sockets?
