Guys - I need your help. Any Snap-On Remote Patrol / e-Lock owners out there?
I bought a KRL7002 with remote patrol on it. The remote and the charger had been lost but I was told by the SO dealer that they were available through SO. Called SO, I can still buy the charger but the remote is no longer available (the box was manufactured in 2000, I thought it was kind of a rip off to discountinue the parts so quickly) They supposedely called their supplier and the supplier no longer manufactures it. I was told there are no alternates.
I find that hard to believe...It can't be THAT unique. I'm thinking there is something else on the market that will work as this 'Automotive Type Remote' with universally accepted symbols and rolling code tehnology.'
Fast forward a few months, a local guy has one for sale. He stated in the add that the remote patrol can be setup to work with your local security system and up to three remotes. E-mailed the guy for information (even offering to buy a spare remote or just compensate him for information), no response.
I figure that this feature probably has a owner's manual supplement that described how to program new remotes and such. SO has no record of those instructions.
So...I need your help. I would like to source a remote and program it for my box.
If anyone has this feature, I would really appreicate any information you can provide.
Is there information in the manual on it?
Can you supply a picture of the remote with any manufacturing or functional information you might have?
Does anyone have a remote they want to offer for sale?
Thanks for any and all help!!!
This was still on my toolbox when I bought it and provides some information on the features:
