I would think that it's the shipping company's problem to get the load off the truck safely. That's what they carry insurance for. I receive pallets of stuff for my work all the time and some of the pallets are as big as or bigger than a KRL1023. Before we had a forklift at work, the shipping companies would usually send a truck with a lift gate if the load was too big to handle by hand. Since we got the forklift, most of the trucks that come here don't seem to have have lift gates as they know ahead of time that they don't need one. If the driver is delivering a huge toolbox to a residence, I would think they'd have the common sense to load it onto a liftgate truck. If they don't I'd refuse the shipment and tell them to load it onto a different truck.
As for fitting the box through the opening, I brought my KRL722 home in the back of a pickup truck that had a liftgate. I pulled it out on the liftgate length-wise and then turned it width-wise once i had clearance. it was tight but it worked. My 68" Epiq came in my snap on dealer's horse trailer (lift gate on the truck was busted) and we managed to get it out and down to the ground safely. so, I guess what I'm saying is, if it went into the truck, it'll come out. The trick is to do it safely.
