These dual 80's for great prices are way worse than Pringles, you won't be able to stop after just one.

Nice... tempting, but I don't use 1/2" enough to think I need it over my SK long flex. I'll leave one more for the rest of y'all.

This guy is about to sell 30 ratchets in less than 24 hours. Not a bad haul!

This is great for me as I have the SL80 as a saved search currently. However has anyone questioned his low rating and how the heck do you get 39 brand new SL80's? I really want to pull the trigger but I am trying to think defensively.

Any thoughts?

The seller has a good rating just hasn't sold a lot of items! Remember all the Snap-on S80 models were redesigned because the screws tended to break inside this model. Look at the redesigned S80A they went back to the old S936 design and the screws come down from the top of the ratchet not the bottom. Snap-on never did this redesign with the 1/4" or 3/8" drive Dual 80 ratchets.

I was concerned too but it qualifies for eBay buyer protection so if worse comes to worse you can get your money back from eBay. I had to do that with a craftsman premium ratchet set not to long ago.

Yes, you're absolutely correct great call. Never paid attention, this is not the revised "A" version.

That's not a big deal, as if it breaks you can exchange it for a new model. I have a 24" dual 80 that is first edition (NOT the "A") and have never had an issue with it and have used it lots.

Damn... i have bought one of the 3/8 ratchets posted here, now the 1/2... My only concern is that the dual 80 may be less effective with the long handle 1/2"... as opposed to the standard length 1/2" drive. But then again it won't make it any worse, I may just need to buy a shorter one as well.

You guys please stop putting these temptations in my face!

I clicked and it said 7 available. Processed the transaction for 1 and now it says 1 left. This is my first Snap-On purchase of any kind. I figured a long handle ratchet, which I don't already have, will come in handy.

Edit: Looks like they are all gone now.

Sold out within minutes, unreal.

Had this not been a snow day for me, would have saved $75. But now I've got a ratchet!!!

Actually, your wallet can thank me. I suspect I got the last one available based on my rating. ;)

Saw these about a week ago... didn't post as I figured exactly this would happen. Sold out in two hours, just like slickdeals.

Wouldn't be surprised to see several new ebay ads pop up with them in it though... :lol_hitti

If there are I think most will loose money/ barely make anything, there are too many auctions only selling for maybe $15 more. that will easily be lost in ebay/paypal fees and shipping to the new buyer.

That being said I have no problem with buying and reselling, I do it every now and then, but this would have been a poor choice. (heck remember that even those that buy and resell still bring the average price down for what they relist)

Just noticed a couple bad reviews popped up on this seller. Hope this wasnt a scam. Seller has been on ebay since 2004 but the majority of activity has taken place in the last 60 days. There have been two batches of the same ratchets @ $80 prior.

Too early to panic. Anyone know anything?

As long as you paid with paypal don't worry about it. As a buyer you get a lot of protection (as a seller, you can get screwed easily...) but you will be fine even if they don't ship

As said earlier, with paypal protection it's no problem.

With his relatively small ratings count it'd only take a few bad reviews to get him tossed of eBay, so I don't *think* he'd intentionally mess over 37 buyers...unless it's camarotoolman setting us up, knowing we couldn't resist?
