I've seen this box posted on here before and thought it was neat, I don't remember the story behind them though. What were they and what was the purpose? This just popped up for sale on Facebook.

Taco Box. Used in aviation mostly

I'd ****** that up if I were there. They were used mostly for aviation where you pulled it to where you were working and had access to all sides. It wouldn't work so well in a shop, but I love them.

Had one when I did car repair in the 80's not bad to work out of. Had vise on top very functional as a bench. Also used to hold car up on lift when we had a lift failure.
Currently it is used as a fabrication box drawer of measuring devices, Drawer of layout and marking tools, one of files. I keep all my chuck keys and wrenches for power tools in one drawer next to open face, hook and pin spanners. Then a half a drawer of deburing devices like scrapers that share space with stones.
But great box thinking of painting it black to match my 2 krl's and 2 carts
