If anything, this Forum has turned into the China Freight "it works fine" forum.
The forum hasn't "turned into" anything. Web forums are fluid, flowing this way and that as members come and go. This section has always been about tools, which is a broad topic covering all types of implements. We've got plenty of people walled-up in their fortresses of preference, and plenty more who take-up position in no-man's land. Which side is the most vocal at any given time is bound to change, constantly. Some guys freak out about that and steam off to more familiar-feeling harbors. Oh well.
Can I bash HF if I say my daddy's, uncle's Northern Tool salesman saw the manager of the local HF store banging a goat behind the store after getting drunk on a Friday night? Not only that but the 2 ton cherry picker he was using to hold the goat in place leaked down and let the goat escape?
Lucky for him the HF security cameras didn't work so the regional manager couldn't prove anything despite the fact that the Northern Tools guy saw the whole thing and swore on a stck of chinese translated manuals (that no one could understand) that it was true?

I don't know; can you translate this into English?
He was poking fun at wafrederick how every time a snap on topic comes up waf is like my matco dealer told me snap on dual 80 guts are made in chinda because his nephew's best friends father oversee's the snap on manufacturing facilities in china.
The Date stamp at the bottom is pretty much a dead giveaway, If you look at the Yacht master II you will see that there is a (2nd) Second counter it that location. Can we see a picture of the Back of the Watch?
Fake Yacht Master II
Real Yacht Master II
I hope the guy didnt own you any more than $81 bucks. LOL
Ouch I think they are correct the rolex you own is a fake.
I certainly don't claim to be a Rolex expert and I;m not crazy about them, I do trust the three jewelers I took it too. They each took the back off the watch to verify it as real. Wheather it's real or fake I still made money off the deal on the car. I personally don't know much of anything about them but being as I've now read it off the internet I must be wrong about it as well as the three jewelers (one of them a Rolex dealer). I like my Citizen more but I'm sure you will call it a knock off as well. It doesn't matter to me. I made enough on the car to cover the loss on the watch if it was a fake. I'n any case I'm not sweating it. Maybe I should post a photo of my wifes wedding band so you can tell me if it's real or a CZ. Internet experts, lolNah.. 3 appraisers looked at it. Lol... .

But it's on hand, lolI can tell right off hand that it is a blood stone from Monrovia...![]()

Whatever Dude... I do know a little (very Little) bit about Jewelery and Watches as my Aunt owns a Reputable Store and has been in business for around 30 years. I couldnt possibly tell you if your wifes wedding ring is Real or fake over the internet but Bring it in and ill tell you. Im curious to how you made money off a Fake Rolex? Did the guy owe you $80 dollars or $30K? Its all about Credibility Man... Its amazing how many people try to be something more than they are on the internet. I find it hilarious that "Everything" you associated with is Bigger than Life, whether its Tools, Big Blocks just lying around rolling on HF Dollies etc.. etc... etc... Im Done talking about it, but restassured Your Rolex is Fake and you should be contacting a Lawyer to recoup the money you didnt lose. There's a Reason they didnt put Date's on Seamans watches and theres a Nautical reason theres 2 Second hands if i Recall.
I haven't made any money on the watch, i made money on the car. How can chevy blocks be bigger than life?? They are bare blocks I use for spare engines for my race car on cheap HF dollies. They are not completed engines but even if they were what what be bigger than life about that. How can my Duralast ratchets be "Bigger than life"? You really need to go back and read things more carefully before you read so much into them. I've never tried to be something I'm not over the internet. I'm just a retired wrench who is currently in poor health. I can think of a lot better things I would want to portray myself as. As far as the watch goes it really doesn't matter. If it is fake I got hosed just a little but it's nothing in the grand scheme of things. How you come up with this Bigger than life thing I don't have a clue.
Your problem is you assume to much and read to little. You see the worst in everyone without reading what was really said. That type of mentality just makes you look like some high and mighty know it all. Just because you feel superior to everyone else doesn't make it so. What you lack in reading comprehesion you more than make up for in your self righteous attitude. Like a preacher once told me. "If you dig for a booger long enough youll find it".
I took the Rolex as partial trade on a 67 GTO I built some years ago.
Here Hiball, Give me some of you extensive expert assessment on this.while I don't know it all I sure seem to piss off those that think they do. Come on you have to know

Again you didn't read I said I made money off the car with or without the rolex. Why should I sweat it now? It's a done deal and nothing I can do about it now even IF it is fake. I have bigger thinngs to worry about. I guess you need to spend a bunch of your spare time to prove me wrong. Even if it's true it was my mistake and the mistake of others I consulted. I wasn't here trying to sell it or rip someone off. Anybody who would even consider it's purchace I would insist they have it authenticated before buying it. If it in fact was only worth 80 dollars it won't be the worst thing that ever happened to me. Maybe you need to go back and read your own post to see what I was talking about. You made it out like everything I say is blown out of proportion. I guess you come to judgement so quickly you don't even realize it. I still don't understand about the engine blocks on dollys. I buy used big block chevys strip them and prep the blocks and have them ready to build. Don't understand how that could be "Blown out of proportion". I guess I don't understand such a superior mind, lolThat is the Biggest Load of ****, I dont feel superior to anyone here, I sure and Hell dont know it All and as far as Reading Comprenhension i Never said a Damn thing about Duralast Ratchets. My Knowledgable subjects include Hydraulic Jacks, Tool Values and Railroading all of which i glady trade here for Other Knowledge from Other Members. If i dont know something about a subject, I keep my mouth shut and try and Learn, I dont run off at the Mouth just to hear myself talk. How you can go from:
To being its Ok that its only worth $80 bucks ?
Im just gonna let this Die because obviously i didnt learn from the Nolatoolguy ordeal and i pushed to hard. Thats all i have to say on the matter, Im not gonna argue anymore. I think you should contact your Jeweler and send your watch into Rolex to get it Authenticated for down the Road. I posted your picture in a Popular Rolex forum for some further Clarification and maybe these guys can assist you.

Nope. Hiball was quite correct: it's not a genuine Rolex, just a counterfeit (and a poor quality one at that). That yacht master is nice and will hold its value (though not as much as an a stainless model).

It doesn't matter guys. Mrholeshot passed away back in 2012.
Remaining in an argument 5 years after your death is actually pretty impressive...
