The dw is west coast
Also a mm 1938
Good to know. Does that mean that there is also a "D" catalog from that year?
200 is 1993
400 is 1995 and 1997
1400 is 2017
Yes, I will try to find out what years were like this, the blue ones were west, red east. Prices were diff, also a few diff in what was shown
Catalog 400 issued June, 1997.
I think I have that one.

great! Now I have something else to pull out, photograph and spend time with lol. I have a few dozen old catalogs, Snap-On, Mac, Gray as well as some woodworking and power tools from the 80s and 90s.
I was almost going to toss my old catalogs and literature. Somewhere I have a 1982 Snap On calendar.
No affiliation to seller, on FBMP.

I've seen a few guys on ebay that do that - sell single advertisement pages from old magazines. Pretty cool especially if it's something you have a particular interest in.
Glad I could help out.Well, thanks to Cruzan80's lead I was able to pick up the '48 catalog and price list. The seller didn't want to work with me on price and he listed it on ebay which is where I subsequently bought it (for less). It's in excellent condition.
Excellent score on the 48 catalog. Looks in really nice condition.
The 48 is a good one to have, lots of changes. Blue Point tools started to be changed to Snap on. Also lots of tools were getting new looks an lots of new items, like round head rats.
OobaTooba: I really like the imagery on that poster. The Victory V made with tools is very symbolic of the war effort and afterwards. I can see why you like it. Beautiful!
