I have an older Snap On CDI-made flex-head torque wrench with a broken pivot pin. The pin is available from Snap On, but I am not sure how to change it. It is pressed in? I'm assuming a hammer and punch would not be the way to go. I appreciate any advice!
Too bad about no longer being supported. I had the same thing happen, and just had the dealer send it off since it needed recalibrated anyway after that. I had no real pressure on it, either. That was about ten years ago, give or take a year, and was about $60, if memory serves.
I would just use a pin punch, it is not likely to be incredibly difficult to change. Just make sure you have a good back up under it. A block of hardwood with a hole would work fine.
