They were the perfect thing for the job, 2 of them removing a shock on an ATV, Jap sucker. It didn't hurt the 3/8 has a long handle and the 19 or 3/4 needed to be 6 point to keep from slipping on a poorly machined nut.
I bought a set 30 yrs ago when I thought I was going to have a golden arm. I am a fan of a lot of cheap tools but a set of the 6 pt in flank drive, up to the 3/4 or so are a good investment in the right time and place.
It wouldn't be the first set I wuld go for if I as without basic tools but I worked on old farm stuff back in the day and they have paid for themselves as problem solvers on occasion.
They have paid for themselves easily in that capacity, today I treat them more like tubing wrenches. Its one in hundreds anymore where the better wrench in some respect was superior.
It made a solution with 2 wrenches I had possible or practical. I could have drilled a hole in some plastic to insert an extension which would have helped some but was only 1/2 the problem anyway. The flange type drive just didn't slip and I didn't have a Cman handy to compare it to but I think it was a factor.
I did put a really good fitting 12 pt on it and it cammed it off.
