Guys im sorry but this is getting old the constant bitching of good companies switching there production from USA to ching gong wherever. I mean Its at the point that i swear half the threads in the first page or two of the forum is just the same old whiny bitching of the same stuff. I think that if you havnt realized that so many companies are trying to lessen there production costs then i dont know where youve been. Thats all guys but i mean lets talk about tools instead of just complaining all day.

Until US mfrs that source tools from offshore quit charging US made prices for them

Look at Williams, they offer a US made wrench set, and a Taiwan made wrench set. The Taiwan made wrench sets are cheaper than the US made versions.

I have no problem with that at all.

Yes, Give us a Choice!
If I have my Choice of a Cheap Overseas "anything"
Or a US made "anything"...I will buy from Here!
Even if the product is equal in quality.
But if given no choice...thats where its getting frustating!

Its best just to try and Ignore the threads that irriate you... It will make your internet experience much better. I might also add that if it seems to be the same people over and over who continue to spew BS, Just add them to your "Ignore List".

I agree, everything I've seen from Williams looks great.

I just feel ripped off when I get a chicom made tool and pay full price for it.

The mfrs save significant $$ when going offshore, they ought to pass some of those savings along to consumers. I'm not asking them to give up all their profits, and I understand with regulations and taxes being what they are, some companies have to do this to survive.

But, if they advertise US made, and deliver foreign made, and charge US made price, I feel duped.

If they advertise COO as offshore, then charge whatever they choose, and I buy anyway, I don't complain. I buy from HF now and again, but you know walking in the door everything in the place is chicom, so you get what you pay for.

I just resent what I consider to be greed and deception.

I used to only buy American but then it became difficult so I switched to European and they too are outsourcing now just like American companys(thanks Stanley and Snap On ) someday we probably won't be able to find any tools made in places other than countrys with low quality...

It seem like there are about 5 threads complaining about a tool make oversea by CM, SO, MAC, Matco, SK, Husky, Kobalt, etc.. Each company make thousands of tools, so you will be looking at hundred of thousands of these complaining threads. It make this site almost irrelevant.
