5 bucks at a church yardsale. works great minus the whole "it doesnt move much air" part but it looks cool and very art deco. wish i had deeper pockets cause there was afew room heaters, old tools and just a bunch of cool old stuff. but back to the fan, anyone know how old it is?and is there any way to make it blow more air? its going to get rewired minus the plug cord and i want to make it a really good functional fan. thanks
an electrician (and perfectionists) worst nightmare. so new wires are going everywhere. im going to run new cord inside the old cords outer layer so it looks old but works safe and all the insides are getting cleaned and replaced with black wire. im going to have a heck of a time finding all the pieces to replace on the inside that are heat safe (there heat shields and all the bolts are brass) but ill give it a week till its back to new. never thought i would want to use a heater in the summer in socal, well its cold when i get out of the pool. bout an hour later i was dry and still cold. turned the heater on in my room (before i knew the whole no grommets thing) and enjoyed it for a good 30 min. i dont know if i want even use the fan alone.
