I used a seperate smaller drawer for 1/4" drive, the large drawer has a MDF piece under the sockets and I just screwed HF $1.00 socket rails to it. Low cost but it works fine.
This woud make me want to slit my wrists!![]()
This makes big sense if convenience and speed are a factor, we use a similar system but opening 2 to get to 1 would get old fast.all 1/4 sockets, extensions, ratchets(air and hand) together... same for all other drive sizes..... just makes it faster to grab the stuff you want without more drawers open than need to be...
im looking for pics of peoples socket drawers
im looking for some ideas
all sizes from small to bit
cheers

I have worked out of worse
I dont like those rails in the pix,all showing the "drive end" of the sockets facing up, Id rather have the "business end" of the sockets facing up, I can ID a socket easier/faster that way

My dad's boxes are about that bad. Not just the sockets, but everything. He maybe owns two complete socket sets, rest are random sockets he picked up. Nothing funner then picking up 20 9/16" looking for a 5/8" socket.
How many of your guys use your chrome 1/2" sockets? I hardly ever touch mine and instead reach for my 1/2" impacts even if I am using a ratchet.
SAE on the left Metric on the right. Red & Blue. Every few years they get a second coat.
What type of paint do you use?

Why do so many of you guys put the drive and up and not the hex end so you can see what size it is?
