Larger sockets stand up on their own lined up in the back of the drawer.
but in a snap on anally retentive kinda way, i wanted them all lined up like little chrome soldiers lol
), I just like knowing where my sockets are. Maybe make your own pegs for the bigger sockets or keep them on the existing rails you have and move them to the back (or wherever they are most convenient). My big sockets do a great job sitting at the back of the drawer.
this is how i currently store my sockets,
however i was thinking of changing to the socket holders with posts, the only drawback is, the are only made for sockets up to 1 1/4" or 27mm what do you guys use for larger sockets?

I use a mix of rails, trays, and the boxes they come in. I am at max capacity and need a new box, but I think you have a nice set up. I am at the point ratchets and extensions have their own drawer. Everything in the big drawer is stacked 2-3 boxes deep. There's 10 box sets in that drawer along with the rails and trays. Lots of stuff. I need to have a lot of sets for grab and go for work.

You guys with Hansen trays - do you actually look at the size on the post before you pick up the socket or do you just grab the socket without looking?

Here's the socket boss from Ernst....
Think I might swap over to these and use my Hansen trays for my impact sockets....
Fwiw I'll add my duraladt ones fit.Check that your impacts will fit... Some have reported that impacts are too thick to fit the Hansen peg spacing...
