Davejo, I am so glad I spent the extra time moving all the dirt. It is going to be a great start for this year's work, after I get the property surveyed I will be spending a lot more time moving dirt and trees.

Rich, Bev is out front, I have to get my scrap together and she is loaded. Once I get the air compressor working I am going to start taking the back body off. Then I can build the basic frame for the new body and set up the gooseneck hitch.

Strouty, was watching the show Green Light Maine last night, A guy, who lives in Maine, just came up with a phone app that shows property lines. He said that he has all of Maine in his system so far. Probably a lot cheaper than a surveyor, if all you are doing is looking for your boundaries. His name is Chuck Benton and you can watch his presentation at the link below.

Looks like a neat idea, but they do not have my lot lines at my house, so I doubt they will have them at the shop. I will give it a try when I get there.

I saw that too, but my house is in Portland and if they don't have Portland, they have no business saying they have the majority of the coast.

Just looked a little deeper, you have to pay for the property line data. Still $2.95 for a month is considerably cheaper than a surveyor.

Another thing he was going to add is dig safe type info.

PRICING
The BoundaryViewer App itself is free.

Parcel (property line) data is is provided on a subscription basis.Current pricing is as follows:
$2.95 per month or $19.95 per year

It says that it doesn't work at my shop, but it overlays fairly well. It will not let me subscribe. Of course it shows me what I all ready know, but until I get a survey it is too loose for my liking. The property line is sooooo tight to my shop that I want to know exactly rather than an estimate.

I did not realize how many sizes of hose clamps I have!

Would you guys think I am being too snobby if I only keep "all stainless" ones? I hate it when the screw rusts and the clamp looks new. I know I can't do this on some of the fuel injection clamps, but I figure for all the standard ones I will just keep full stainless ones. I am sorting now and will post some pictures when I get things a little better set up.

I wish I had done pegboard sooner, I am thinking that I will be using lots of it all over the shop.

Only keep the good stuff, The other stuff put in a box and put it with your stuff going to the auction, People will pay big price for the clamps. I have seen it over and over again.

Last month I got 20 sheets of 2 foot x 6 foot new peg board that sears was tossing out for free, I put one sheet up behind one of my tool boxes to use the space on the wall that is wasted. The other sheets I think I will install in my basement on the wall up against the ceiling.

The stuff I am using is actually metal. It was about $23 for the one sheet, but I like it.

I found a deal on some galvanized stuff and bought a couple "vertical" pieces. Mine is made by wall control and has slots as well as the regular holes. I was hoping it would be the same as my snap on stuff, but they are different. I had no pegboard experience before this, wish I had, could have made me a contender.

a lot of people on here don't like peg board.

I think people that don't like it have never used it.

I'm not a big fan of pegboard. Too hard to re-arrange. ...and the tools get dusty if you don't use them. ...also people that "stop by" can get a real good look at what tools I have and that makes me nervous.

...on the other hand I really like the French cleat system that Lil Scorpion uses. ...and I have some cabinet doors that I'm thinking about putting pegboard on the INSIDE of. Just to keep tools that I use all the time handy.

...but if you like using it by all means use it. Your shop, your rules.

I don't have a lot of people stopping by, so it doesn't bother me to have things out. I think it will be more handy for supplies than tools. I could see setting up an area inside a cabinet to keep eyes off, maybe you could double the space and mount some to the doors as well?

I can see that some of the hooks are cheap as can be, I ordered heavy duty ones and they seem fine, I have had to tweak them a bit. Also I am not sure I would want to use single hooks, all of mine are two hole design.

I haven't had a LOT of experience with pegboard but have been told that sometimes the hooks will come loose when you remove tools that are tight in them. They make some of the hooks with places for screws just for that reason.

Now that I have hung up all the hose clamps I can see I am missing some sizes, my OCD is going to get the best of me. I used a magnetic label so I can shuffle things around, looks like I may order a pack of each of the missing sizes and then I can hang everything up so it looks clean. At least right now I can get to the clamps if I need one instead of digging through a pile. I still need to label a few drawers that have hose clamps in them, of course now the majority of them are empty. I just need to figure out the best use and location for things.

Still thinking that this area (essentially one shelving unit) will be for hose, hose clamps, caps, plugs, maybe hose barbs and certain types of fittings? I could also store one of my sets of hose cutters and then I have been eyeing a set of oetiker clamps. I want to keep a small area dedicated to good used specialty clamps too. Of course I want room to expand as needed, so I will not overfill the area.

Pm me with what sizes you need, I might have a few boxes in my overflow box.
The ace Whse here used to have a yearly yard sale of damage and over stock. I used to buy every box of the clamps that I could find. they would price them at a dollar a box of ten.

My sister texted me a little bit ago, and said she was at a sale and they had some kind of handle and it said snap-on on it, Did I want her to pick it up for me for 3.00. I told her any thing with snap on stamped into it was worth 3.00. So here is what she got for me.
Snap on 1/2 drive 18inch breaker bar. A little rust but in good shape any way.

Here is what it looked like when I started:

I installed the pegboard, even got to use my cool tool. I have used it before, but this time it was the only way I was going to get those screws in.

This is where I ended tonight:

When I heard Strouty might be getting rid of some clamps, I started to salivate!

I only have one pair.

Tool talk makes me drool on myself like Cujo.

breath deep Bill, do you really need clamps or do you just want them to have them.
Now go fill two more garbage cans with garbage and ask your self again..
I know it is hard, I have the same problems. But I will share my toys.

I did not get to do anything inside the shop, but I did get the billboards covering the damage on the roof. Should have no leaks until I can really redo the roof, at least this is what Ia m hoping. Not sure if I will be over there at all tomorrow, but I should be there on Wednesday during the rain.

Awesome Strouty, it will be a load off your shoulders not having to worry about leaks. I thought I fixed my leaks last time I tried but I actually have more now, I guess from walking around up there... congrats[emoji481]

It is only a band aid at this point, I will know for sure on Wednesday, we are supposed to get some heavy rain. I can't wait for the weather to warm up continuously, then I can start taking the insulation out of the trusses, it is starting to smell bad from getting wet. Once I get the insulation out, I can start figuring out the truss modifications. The funny part is I say I can't wait, but I am really not looking forward to the dust and mess the insulation is going to create. I am going to have to cover everything in the shop and even then it will still be a disgusting mess. I am getting worked up just thinking about it. :(
