Did the doc mention anything about using straight clippers instead of curved? The outside edges of the nail remain above the skin and helps keep the center from submarining. Of course, if you're getting surgeries, that's a pretty bad issue.
Yeah, the side of the nails split off and grow sideways. He tried to kill them last time with the acid, but said it may grow back. One side of each toe actually stopped growing like that, but he took a little more just to be safe. I had to pull the ingrown part every 6 weeks or so, it was pretty nasty, but I was thinking it may finally stop. No such luck. He is confident that it will be fine after this. I sure hope so!
