Capability can be a curse. For example:
Strouty wants longer forks. They are available to purchase but...
Strouty has welding skills and scrap metal so he is capable of making his own but..
The welder is blocked and out of service but...
Strouty's dad lets him borrow his welder so he's still capable of making his own but the unfamiliar mask results in burned eyes.
This isn't criticism at all, only an attempt to look at the potential "cost" of capability. Less capable men would have been stymied by those hurdles.
In fact, here is my own example of being cursed by capability. I just moved to a new place. I had to move from two locations into one and have years of accumulated 'valuables'. A great friend flew out to help me move everything and the new property came with a nice building so I was then capable of taking all my **** with me.
Had I not had the help and available space, I would have been forced to purge. Instead, here is me two weeks ago...
