I have a Snap On 1/2" ratchet that is skipping. Is there a repair kit? Do I just find any truck and ask? or do drivers get pissy about dealing with people that are not stop customers?
Go to snapon.com and find the customer support tab and send them an email or call them and they will send a kit out to you free of charge.

Not necessarily.
I called Snappy customer service on Thursday for a rebuild kit on an old F723A. 100% free, no questions asked.
I've heard similar stories about multiple tool companies. I would say it depends 100% on your attitude toward the customer service people. They have to deal with assholes and pissed off people all day long. Last week I needed a rebuild for an SK ratchet. I sent a nice short email (including all my info: phone #, address, etc) asking if parts were available for my old ratchet, they wrote back saying they were sending a rebuild to me. I'm not a large customer - just Joe Schmoe
Mac is the same way, they send the rebuild kits out for free and all you give them the part number off the ratchet including your name and address.I called them twice so far,got rebuild kits within 3 days. You send the old parts back to them.
And I've called them and they charged me $10 for a rebuld kit on a 3/8" ratchet.
