I brought home an old compressor that belonged to my uncle. The tank was rusted through so we stripped it down and saved the motor and compressor. The compressor has spiral baffles inside the intake filters! It’s a pretty quiet unit when running. I am currently cleaning the heads, valves, and ports to remove carbon and make sure everything is good to go. Most of the fittings and bolts didn’t even feel tight.
Here is a picture of the baffle under the filter screen.

I don’t have any info on the compressor other than a stamped number.

This is the compressor.

I measured the cylinder bores and stroke and the displacement is about 10 cfm at 700 rpm.
Has anyone seen/used these spiral baffles before? Not sure how restrictive they are, but they seem to be quite effective for noise.
Does anyone know who made the pump???
