That handle style looks about 1960; the tapered grip started about 1950, but the shank was rectangular in cross section and had Streamlined-like depressed panels. Interesting that Gray continued with that cool design after Bonney, apparently, moved on to the cylindrical, knurled grip.
I see a resemblance to similar-era Par-ex line mfd by Snap-on. I’ll stick some pics in here when I get a chance.

Now that - Bonney letting Gray use old Bonney-Gray dies after Bonney let them go as a subsidiary - makes much more sense that Bonney letting Gray use new Bonney dies after Bonney let them go!

Yeah, Odes, that handle shape is quite pleasing to the eye.

When I received it I tried seeing if I could find a trio of ratchets like it, but they are a bit hard to find reasonable. Besides, I've got so many other collections going I don't need ANOTHER one!

Lets go big!!! How about a 1 1/ths a 1171 Bonney Bonaloy and a 1 7/16ths a 1176 Bonney Bonaloy wrench. Found at a used tool dealer.

I gathered together most of my 1/4" Bonney SAE stuff for a family pic. Here it is in a restored S-K socket box. Mostly 12 pt. Loc-Rite with the front set of deeps in 6 pt.

This eBay wrenchboard in Canada looks interesting. Different than the ones Twertsy was filling, I think. At 7-1/2x26-1/2” not huge, but the circle emblem is neat. I’d like to know if the plywood is actually black or just a dark shade of some other color.
Can’t quite figure the selection, either. Looks a LOT like the no26 engineers set, but missing the 1729 and adding 1023, 1723A, 1027, and 1027C.

I do not believe genuine Bonney tools were EVER manufactured in India, nor anywhere outside North Anerica.
Bonney continues to manufacture forged fittings and custom forged items internationally, but I had thought their sites were European (Italy).

Anyone know when Bonney was made in India?

Somewhere I have a Bon E Con combo that says India on the back. I would assume later production like the guys said, but that name was still in use.

My 1986 Bonney catalog mentions that their Bon-e-Con line at that time was imported. Somewhere else I read it was India. So, at least by the late 80's they were outsourcing some of their wrenches. Late in the game.

I been away for a few weeks as I took a trip to the midwest but got back last Wednesday and got caught up. I was cursing eBay last week when I spotted this new set of screw extractors from Bonney. I had to buy them. I am sure someone else manufactured them as I never knew Bonney even made them.

The extractors are new old stock and never used. I was really surprised as even the plastic case looks new and still supple after all the years it has been since it was made.

Found this 1" tubing wrench in a pawn shop today and it is a Utica Loc-Rite branding. It is fairly good condition. Part number 23332. I don't need it as I got a full set of tubing wrenches but I had to grab it for $14.00.

I picked up this ball-pein hammer today. (Ignore the other tools, I forgot to shoot only the hammer.) 1 lb 1.9 ozs with the handle, so it's a 1 lber, which is perfect for a wartime motor pool Jeep kit. The handle is original, with original wedge, but will need some whipping.
