My sanding kit that amazon price matched showed up today. Guy i online chatted with gave me free 1 day shipping for my inconvenience. Just waiting for the return label for the backing pad

After getting the same message back from autoplicity about the item not being in stock I opened up a chat with amazon. They offered to refund my money and I would just re-order the sander (but at normal price). I informed them of the price difference and they said the do not price match their sellers.
I stated I had two friends that were able to have it price matched. She spoke to her supervisor and offered to refund half the difference. I told her I would prefer to pay the price I paid the other day and was not happy about the seller lying to both myself and amazon about the item being out of stock. I sent her the link to autoplicity where it showed they have 40 in stock.
She then offered me a price match, I ordered it from amazon and she is going to credit me the difference once the sander ships out.
Should be here on Monday.

Add my name to the list - the "Sander Kit" arrived today, and like everyone else its a 1 lb. box with a 3" backing pad. Got a nice email from Edward Lichstein thanking me for purchase of the sanding kit. The packing list in the box states it is a hook & loop backing pad.
Guess I will try contacting Amazon to see if they will make good on this as some others have done.

This thread makes me very curious what they will drop ship me for ordering that SK tool box top. Maybe a plastic kids toy of one, along with a note from the owner?

lol ya same here. supposedly my ticket has been "escalated to a supervisor", but I think that is just an automated response. waiting to see what they write for an excuse this time

I actually ordered 2 of these boxes so far, just for shits and giggles. Both have been "shipped" with no tracking number. The first one "didn't pass their quality control" and they are "looking into it".

The box is discontinued from SK, so obviously they're not shipping us one from SK. My bet is they're just gonna keep giving us excuses until we file a complaint and cancel the order.

Filed an A-Z claim over the weekend and received the return label this morning. They supposedly issue the refund as soon as the item is received by the shipper, so this should be wrapped up tomorrow after I drop off at UPS.

Maybe this Edward dude who owns Autoplicity is really crafty and does all this just to get the float off funds received at time of purchase until refunded.

Longer they drag their feet, more interest revenue they make. Shipping fees are written off as an expense??

That or they just **** at doing what they are in business of doing.

Amazon doesn't release the money to them until they list the item as shipped.
Here's what my shipping status says:

Carrier: Other
Tracking #: Item Has Shipped

Then they email saying that "it didn't pass their quality control" and "they will look into it and get back to you"

So obviously they tricked Amazon into releasing the funds, that's fraudulent right there.

No tracking numbers either for me. Estimated arrival date is Sept 10-18th.

Ya, I'm a sander guy that was going to grab the deal. I've asked "Joel" like 3 times why they don't just fill from stock. Each time I either get an automated response or a bs excuse. I'm at an a-z claim with Amazon with option of a $55 gift card to close it now, so at this point I'll at least be ahead by a $3 HF 3" sanding pad.

Agreed.. but the problem is, the box is discontinued lol. I'm surprised they haven't said anything about the fact that we only paid $25. It would cost them at least 3 times that much just to ship it lol

Thanks for the advice. I figured for $22 it was worth the gamble since i know Amazon will refund me if it's not legit.

"Terrible seller!!! Sent out wrong item and flat out refused to send the item that was ordered. Typical bait and switch seller. Do not order from these guys ever as they have no idea what they are doing. Amazon should look into getting this seller removed."

My return was just delivered (they are very close and only took 1 day), but no sign of the refund yet which they stated would be processed as soon the shipment was in transit. Not worried about getting the refund, just more missed commitments by this vendor. Also left some relative feedback to this fun transaction :D
