Guys, that looks like a good jack!

I still have to sand blast and paint mine plus I plan to work on the rear casters some more. Otherwise, it is still working very well, thanks to all of you who have paitently helped me.

I'm now working on some major refurbishing in my 1991 Airstream travel trailer. Here are a couple of threads, if you want to take a look http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427/cleaning-and-refurbishing-my-suburban-nt-35k-furnace-86137.html and http://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/leaks-and-floor-rot-in-91-34-limited-85517.html.

All my best,

Steve

thanks I will look into it. Kind of torn because this is a complete working jack and I'm really just looking for a parts donor...

2002 F250,
It's as Hiball said above, you are in for a surprise. For something that may look fairly simple on the outside, there's a lot of parts and technology on the inside. It's not rocket science...but it's more than a couple of seals and O rings. In fact, this jack predates O ring technology and it will probably take a fair amount of work to get it to work properly.

Best of luck to you sir!

I agree Hiball and Steve.....

Jumping into a project like an S4 rebuild and thinking it is cake will only end up in a scrap heap if precautions and/or pro help is not used

Best of Luck f250

You must remove Handle/#12 so you can pull it out, The only thing holding it in is Tension applied by #23 <--- Compression Nut, squeezing the seals against the OD of #16.

I'm away from my schematics currently but im sure #12 was the linkage that connected the handle to the pump ram. I guess theoretically you "don't" have to remove it, just the pin connects the handle to it.
