Quick update on today's progress. Shed is ready for doors and a roof. I'm really happy with the color choice now the gutter is on.

I also ordered some Blue Mountain Mesh www.bluemountainmesh.com.au gutter guard that I'm hoping to install on the weekend.53455689bbf5a9f887632f72199bbd9e.jpg

I now have the water tank on the pad behind the shed. It's sitting on some corflute to separate its movement from the concrete. Following advice from earlier in this thread.

There's also now a roof on the shed with insulation and 3 whirly birds.

Today the doors go on and it'll hopefully be finished!

So there's probably 2 meters wide of open space behind the shed that I'd love to make usable. Any suggestions on what i could put down that's relatively cheap?

Rock base (recycled concrete) with crusher dust and then cheap pavers. That way the tree roots won't be a permanent problem later. Sloped away from the shed 1in100 should be enough.

Looking great! I was thinking along similar lines to Terrick - some pavers would be a relatively cheap way to get a decent hard surface in that space. Everyone needs an outdoor work area for dirtier welding, grinding, and woodworking jobs!

The roller doors are on. They have a few more things to tidy up tomorrow or maybe Saturday but it's basically done!3fdde6e2df6d5d7d34d3da80dae34de0.jpg

Agreed. I had planned all along for the back area to be used for dirty cutting grinding and degreasing work.

I think I'll hunt gumtree etc for some large used pavers I can lay down.

Today is the day for the final piece of the puzzle. They're pouring the entry to the driveway.

Great work Steve, and good to see another Brisbane member! Just saw this for the first time, looks like it's going to be a great shed! Do you know which two post hoist you are going with? I'm guessing by the height you can fit a clear floor model?

Concrete truck gone. Guys are doing the finishing touches and edges etc on it now.

Had a few small sections done at the front of the house just to clean it up a bit too.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

If there's any brisbane GJ guys that want to see it in the flesh I'd be happy to meet up sometime.

You gotta be into Jeeps or turbo Hondas though ;)

Looks great Steve. I bet you can't wait till all the tradies are finished so you can focus on the things you need to do.

Shed is all finished. They did a great job and the doors all roll nice and easy.

Today i finished up the difficult bit on the fence at the front as i had to rake down the bottom to match the driveway.

4c105ef8422e9db189351e26cf76938d.jpg

I haven't got any pics but i did applied euco diamond hard to the shed slab.

It was interesting, didnt soak in as much as i thought it would but it did stay "wet" for the full half hour application time as per the instructions.

I sprayed it on with a cheap garden sprayer and agitated it and pushed it around with a 600mm broom.

I masked up all the metal on the shed just in case but honestly i doubt it would've done anything.

I'll post pics in the morning once it's dried up.

As promised, here's the pics of the Euco Diamond Hard coating on my floor.

I tried to get dome pics showing the sheen it provided. But basically it looks constantly wet now. But it feels like there's not much of a coating on top actually on the floor - like you're walking on bare concrete.
