Stickers do not have part numbers. There are sold to the dealers by a third party company. Dealers have to order them in packs of 10. They usually change up the sitckers once a year. It is up to each individual dealer to decide if he wants to have stickers on his truck.

Cool, Ill have to ask my dealer if he has any, how much do they go for?

The Matco is mine, while the Snap On piece is a fellow students.

It's a crappy cell phone pic, but you get the idea.

so i have grown a collection of stickers. and after i recevied my Cman box i have been itching to cover it in stickers.

is there a right way and a wrong way to sticker a box?

is there a way to make the stickers last a long long time?

i was thinking about sanding the drawers where i will put the stickers then after the stickers are on spraying clearcoat over the drawers and stickers in 1 shot.

what have you guys done to make the stickers last on your tool boxes?

Putting stickers on your tool box is a time honored tradition ever since they started including them with high performance parts long ago.

Top quality tool boxes are a lot more expensive now and even though people still like the stickers and collect them ,some don't put them on there anymore.
Many just like the clean look as it can be hard to put a bunch of stickers on a box you paid 10K for.

The magnet/stickers work good for this since you can remove them to clean or rearrange as you get more stickers.

I have done that to a lot of smaller stickers.

Pick up those free magnets that stores give away , they are usually sitting by the cash register.
Sometimes they are bigger with calendars but usually the size of business cards ,and work ok for small stickers.

Many stores sell those Photo magnets that are designed for putting your photos on.
They are 4" X 6" and have an adhesive on them already.
For photo use, you just peel the backing off the magnet and apply the photo to them.
You could do the same with the stickers and leave the backing on them if you want.
That way should you later decide to use it as a sticker you can peel it right off.
They are easy to trim with scissors.

For bigger decals you are going to have to buy the sheets or rolls.
These are available at craft stores and online.

Office supply places also have sheets, but those have a paper "face" that are made to run through your printer.

It was suggested that you could get the magnet material from a sign store and while that is true I wouldn't recommend it.
The stuff they use on car signs is a lot thicker and quite expensive and you really don't need anything like that unless you plan on driving your tool box at freeway speeds.

:lol_hitti

Some people like to label there drawers because it allows others to more easily find stuff when they are "helping" you.
If you put the labels on magnets it makes it easier when your tool collection grows and you need to rearrange things.

As far as keeping the box and stickers looking good you could try waxing them.
Also don't store the box near direct sunlight like by a window or everything will eventually fade.
Cover it when not in use and it will look good for a long time.

Take a look at this tool box /sticker thread, it has a similar box and it is stickered up.

I have stickered the **** out of mine but it is just a husky that i got about 11 years ago. But i think even if i had a nice Snap-On or similar box i would sticker it up

I just wipe the area down with paint thinner first then apply with a plastic vinyl scarper

I wish to fk I had another unused 70th anniversiary one.

I could help you out with that.

They can be kind of hard to find since there 20 years old ........... but I have a lot of extras of that one.

I actually have a lot of extras of many of the old Snap On stickers as I have collected tool stickers for years.

Pm me if you want to buy, sell ,or trade tool stickers from any of the USA manufactures.

Every time I vote I put the little "I Voted!" sticker on my box. Only have two right now, but that's because we haven't had an election in a while.

Mostly I just put up photos of my girlfriend. Most of my stickers are on my old computer case, or on toolboxes that I don't use much anymore because they're so small.

Not a single sticker on my boxes. I race at a profesional level. If I'm not required to have a sticker for contingency, why should I advertise for someone that required me to pay for their product. A company gives me their services or product, then I have no problem on the race cars or bikes , but not on the tool boxs. Too much money invested to screw up the finish.
You want stickers? I get literally hundreds every year. I give them away to the kids at the tracks. The only ones I keep are the classic speed equipment stuff like the rectangle blue/white crager blower drive decals and they end up in a toolbox drawer

I'm conflicted on this issue. My natural tendency is to keep things stock... The downside of a conservative nature. However, I like the idea of the toolbox as a totem to the projects and adventures it has participated in.

If I bought a used box with a lot of stickers on it, I would feel like I was desecrating a grave to strip the old stickers off. At the same time I would feel like some kind of poser to keep the lineage of the box intact when I wasn't there busting my knuckles earning the mementos.

I figure stickers should be like a scrapbook. Years later you should be able to point at a sticker and tell the story of why it ended up on your box.

Right now, I have a new US General box, which, depending on your opinion of them, would double in value by the application of stickers... :) I haven't stuck anything on it except my magnet backed clipboard with my notepad on it. I have considered removing the "Warning: Anything you do near or with this item may kill or maim you. Please go back inside and sit quietly in your chair." stickers, but I haven't yet.

The magnetic tape might not work in the colder weather. I did that with my cabinet and the winters are just too cold. The magnets shrink leaving the sticker to peel. When summer comes, they are all rolled up on the edges and won't stick.

Maybe slightly off topic, but I like the look of car emblems or badges "that are actually meant for the car." It's a clean look, with a little style.

When I worked at a Chevy dealership, I traded some parts back to the parts department, and got a Monte Carlo badge "already have 3M Tape on them," anyway cut out the letters and had "ME LOCO" on my old Macsimizer.

There is only one sticker on my toolbox... it was on there when I bought it, so I left it because I liked it :)
