Drills, sanders, grinders etc . . . hanging them from their power cords is a big no no - but hey, I do it anyway! How do you hang / store yours?

HON metal filing cabinet. The thing is I just tossed about 8 of these into the metal bin at work last week! Nothing wrong with them at all! Our business is consoladating and the powers that be said "get rid of 'em". Threw out a couple of 2 drawers and several 4 drawer cabinets also. It's a cryin' shame!

Here's the thread on the one I grabbed last year...................

File cabinet for me. Cheap, plentiful, takes up little floor space, and can really handle the weight. Plus the deep drawers are great for bulky items.

For the smaller power hand tools, I have several inexpensive stackable plastic toolboxes that go on the shelves. For the medium size power tools, I like to staple together simple crates out of pine wood.

I can post a picture for inspiration if it helps.

I have lots of midsize red plastic toolboxes. Most are big enough to hold 3 tools, 2 if the tools are bigger (hammer drill or angle grinder). I put them all on skinny (10" wide) shelves attached to the wall and made the vertical distance between the shelves far enough so I can access each box on the shelf. Works well for me.

I keep mine in cabinets above the bench. Works well.

Over the years and from my dad when I moved out I've collected quite a few standard carry tool boxes that I don't use. I have a box for my angle grinder, rotary sander, DA sander, palm sander, circular saw came with it's own box, Sawzall in it's own box, pretty much everything has it's own box whether it came with one or its an old tool box.

Mine are in a solid wood cabinet I bought from goodwill. Looks like an old upper kitchen cabinet. I put framing underneath it, and some casters so I can move it if necessary. Did the same thing with a dresser too.

I want to switch to a lateral filing cabinet for a cleaner look, AND easier to pull in and out.

almost all my power hand tools came in cases, so I just stack them on a cheap Ikea bookshelf. I've been trying to come up with a solution for the few that are not in cases. The Costco busboy trays look like a great idea.!
