Glad Someone is watching out for US....
What is wrong with selling a tool under it's manufacturer's name? If they loaded some of those items on the SnapOn truck and sold them under their original name; for a more competitive cost; couldn't/wouldn't they sell more of them??? Well, some of US have the answer to that one![]()
Snap-One has their sales model. They are a success by any measure.
They don't get my money but more power to 'em.
If snap on sold SK sockets with "snap on" stamped onto them for twice the price - I swear people would still buy them..
Remember, Snap-On doesnt mfg anything. They just get anOEM to private label for them

Well, that's not really true anymore. They have plowed profits into buying competitors and supplier's. I am just glad they like quality tools instead of trashing the brand for profit. (Is that a weird corporate goal or what?)
I'd buy carbon fiber if they were sold...
I use plastic pry tools all the time for auto restoration work and have now broken or scored enough that I need a new set. Would like something strong.
You won't get much warranty support from Bojo. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have paid the slight premium on the ones that say Snap On on them to get the warranty. You WILL damage these eventually if you use them.
You guys realize that the Snappy set is only $2.50 more if I ordered both sets.. Bojo wants $14.00 to ship that set to CT, Snap On is free. So how is Snap On screwing you?
Getting it through Snap On might be better/easier for warranties as well.

The same ole broken record, people spend $5 for energy drinks per gallon would be $50! --> DAILY
People spend $12 a day on cigs and don't forget liquor as well (don't miss a beat)... Then the ultimate is the $800 CELL phones people buy (it ain't SNAP-ON) some made in China phone...
IF one added up what all of these people continuing COMPLAIN about Snap-On prices (I bet they spend $300 a MONTH) then another $100+ on a CELL phone bill.
ONE could easily afford to buy QUALITY tools.

Well, to answer the cell phone analogy - why more adults (cause kids and teens will spend HOURS watching videos on the phone, so it's not worth it for them), don't opt to buy their own unlocked smartphone for under $200, and then hook it up to Tracphone is beyond me. It uses the Verizon network, budget smartphones today are very comparable to the most expensive models, and it probably works out to be about $20 a month or less I spend to do everything that everyone else does, including using the gps for HOURS everyday..
So yea - you can blindly spend money to buy what you'd like to believe is the best out there cause of the name attached to it, or you can literally buy the same things for a lot less money. Only catch is you give up being able to post fancy pictures online and you'll have to find other things to do with the money saved..
But anyway - if you know of where I can buy Red Bull or Monster energy drinks by the gallon, please share - cause I live on that **** so I can function these days.
People are free to spend their money how they see fit. If a $200 or $300 month payment for tools is worth it to them - more power to ya.. personally I'd rather buy cheaper comparable tools from a different brand and use that saved money on other things.
Lol... You kinda proved his point, I personally have some friends and co-workers that probably spend $10-20 bucks a day on energy drinks, cigs, chewing tobacco and fast food, and that might be conservative.
Im in No way shape or form trying to insinuate that there aren't people with everyday vices shopping on tool trucks... Ha!! I'm just saying, we are in a tool discussion forum and there may be people who are willing to trade a bed full of empty energy drinks/fast food wrappers for a floorboard or at least glove box full of shiny tools. In the end.. To judge someone for wasting money on GoGo juice or the tool brand in there box is silly, it just depend on what side of the fence your on.
Food for thought
I never expect you of all people to agree with anything I ever post on here.. but how you concluded that what I wrote proves his point must be an act of God.
Did I miss something?

The back-handed insult/insinuation that if you're shopping for less expensive alternatives, you're not buying quality tools:

If everyone would resort to eating peanut butter and drinking water, sorry - TAP WATER- everyday, nobody has any excuse to not buy rebranded tools at twice the cost.. lol.. great argument. You should run for office on the platform and replace it with healthcare.. lmao.
1. I've Never argued for not buying rebranded tools.
2. Well #1 just about covers it.
How you keep coming up with these wild fascinations that I'm arguing for brand A versus B is beyond me, pay attention man.

That wasn't directed at you.. I thought you were sharper than this..
And I don't know what hydraulic line reference you're talking about. I rarely read everything you write.
