If you haven't bought a lift yet, Call Danny at 918-629-5080
They carry the Challenger line Quality. I know he will work with you on the price.

Just to chime in here, I have both the Bendpak XPR-10 and -10A. I got both of them for $2,800 each. I have had great experience with their customer service, and that's about it.

Now onto why I won't recommend getting a Bendpak... Firstly, made in China, and boy does it show. I had one of the safety levers that holds the cable that runs to the other safety lever shear while I was tightening a bolt onto it, a phone call and about 4 days later I had the replacement part. Then the cable they gave me for the overhead shutoff switch was about 3 feet too short... A phone call and 2 days later I got a replacement one. After that I noticed after putting a few cars up one of the posts had a decent amount of fluid leaking out of it. I inspected and noticed the hydraulic line was leaking at a fitting. A phone call and 1 day later I had a replacement. This is all on my XPR-10

As for the XPR-10A. Setting everything up, notice I didn't even get a wire for the shutoff switch. A phone call and a day later I get the cable. After that I'm putting the lift arms in and the part that goes into the lift carriage on one of the arms doesn't go in. I measure, measure, double check, and realize that the "ears" aren't parallel to each other, and that the top one is bent ~7 degrees, it doesn't fit in more than 3 inches before it stops. A phone call to bendpak AGAIN, and 4 days later I got a new arm, and a ranger oil drain for free.

As for problems on both lifts, the concrete anchors they give you are ABSOLUTE trash... The bolts are so low grade putting them into the ground in the recommended manner ruined ~4 of them. I ended up paying $16/anchor for excellent quality replacements that didn't have a problem.

I also purchased 3 HD-9's and 1 had a few problems. Sooooo would I say get a Bendpak again? No, not really. I have seen that quite a few places use challengers, which will be the brand I purchase next when buying more lifts

Yea ive heard horror stories about Bend-pak. A friend of mine use to run a shop fixing big rigs and concrete trucks etc. He said bend-paks are for the hobbiest, they dont last to beatings. He also said challengers are junk, and this was the lift I really wanted to go with because of the adjustment and Certs. The guy i know has a rotary in his garage at home and fixes everything you can imagine on it. Never had an issue.

As for the derek weavers, they are built well and have the certs to back it up. For the prices I cant even complain. I worked off a no-name china wormgear lift for years with no issue, but id feel safer with knowing the lift has been inspected.

Truely, the derek weavers compare greatly to some of the best, but obv mohawk beats the comp, and my wallet.

Im gonna call them soon and see what their specials are and what they can do for me. I do need some jack stands and a trans jack ;)

Bendpak xpr10a is my choice after long decisions. Bendpak have been good about everything so far? Whats not to love? They are overbuilt, China or not. They have to stay competitive in this market, unless you want to pay $6-8k then I am sure Bendpak can do just that. Hydraulic pumps are made in the USA which is very important. Build quality on the lift itself is very nice. Everything looks great. Although manufactured in CHINA, bendpak seems to have a tight quality control on their lifts. ALI/ETL certifications all meet standards. Whats to be scared of?

Check my SIG.

I should show you the lifts that I got, "tight quality control" certainly doesn't describe them... I don't remember seeing any made in USA stickers on the pumps, would have to double check it. I haven't had a problem with a pump yet, so that's good. Also ALI/ETL certs are required to operate commercially with the lifts, so nearly every single lift will most likely comply.

The lifts do look good, I am impressed with the 4 posts that I have so far. I wouldn't say overbuilt though, plenty of dumb ticky tack things

Compared to industry standard within the USA. Most dealership I see uses Rotary Lifts. Check out this link from Bendpak on their comparison to their lifts.

http://www.bendpak.com/a-study-in-lift-design/Two-Post-Lift-Comparison/

This is what sold me. Compared to standards, yes, its overbuilt a little.
ALI/ETL meet strict testing. Most importantly, failure rate on weight and flex structurally. Not all lift sold in the USA have this certification.

Not sure about yours but my lift has a sticker on the pump saying "USA MADE", although who knows? I have not have a problem yet.

Yes, please post pictures of your lift. I'm very interested. -=) From my end, everything has been smooth sailing so far. Everything installed perfectly.

Check out this video from GREG smith.

ETL/ATI test things like this!! China can be very bad but with the right supervision and quality control, they can do anything just as good? But that unknown lift manufacture testing in the above video is a cheapy $1k lift I am sure.

Any idea what brand that is haha.

I went to a GSE and looked at the atlas, it looked cheaply made. The pins holding the arms are straight poles with a washer TACK welded to the top. If that tack broke, your losing an arm. I said something to the sales guy, he said we sell 1000s of these with no issues.. not good enough for me.. someone sold the pet rock and made millions and it had no purpose..

Back at looking at lifts again...

Looks like GSE came out with a ETL ALI Cert lift finally.

As they are right down the road this might be beneficial with shipping.

The derek weaver I was looking at seemed to skyrocket in price from 2k to 2600...

I dont know now haha.
I just bought a truck to flip that will afford me this lift so It comes down to it now. Which is the better buy for the lowest price.. gah

Dugan,

I recently had a Challenger E10 installed in my garage. I did a lot of homework (thanks to this site) and decided this was the best option. There does not seem to be a lot of traffic specific to the E10 but those that buy them are happy and that seemed like a good thing.

So far the lift has been flawless in operation, build quality is high and everything went together great during the installation. One of the major plusses to this lift is that there is a good dealer network should you need service or parts and this plus the quality made my decision easy.

Just a reference point for your thoughts.

BTW this is a China built lift that gets final assembly and kitting in KY. The pump is a US made Stone Hydraulics unit with a US Motors motor.

The pv10p is also a/semetric, fwiw...

Given your choices, I'd go with the challenger..we have 1 old 10k a/symmetric lift and two old 8k asymmetrics at work...They're the only racks there I trust besides my big 15k rotary

For what's it's worth, I have made my living on Rotary lifts for over 20 years and have only had one fail on me due to a blown hydraulic hose. They just always work and lift whatever I throw on them. I just bought two used Rotary's, one 7000 and one 9000 lb and paid $1400 & $1800 with them being refurbished with new lines and cables and in otherwise great condition. I didn't consider getting any other brand lift.
