I have been building a house. While building I have run a 100 amp sub panel directly off my meter. Now that the house is almost done I will be wiring it directly into my house panel. My question is.
My panel is on the outside of my house. I have a knockout on the side big enough and almost a strait shot to the breaker I will be using. I was thinking about using a 2 1/2 in conduit body to tie into the side. Then run to my 2 1/2 in conduit.
When I mentioned this to my friend (He used to do electrical in the oil field)he said to go into the bottom. I have two issues with this.
1-no knockouts are big enough
2-bending the wire I have 90 degrees will not be easy.
My friends issue with going in the side is water leaking. So I guess my question is will this be a issue? Or is there a way to make it not a issue?
Thanks
