I like the Howard Leight Max corded for earplugs, & also have Howard Leight Impact Sport earmuff. Depends on what I'm doing but generally I reach for the earplugs first.
Well used em for the first time and shockingly they sucked lolHad some years ago. Don't know what happened to em. Got a cheap set from Horrible Fright.

Hey, whatever works for you. (I think it’s easier to use commercial PPE, though.)Shoves wax and dirt in my ear hole and plugs them up.
I usually use muffs or the ones that are on a plastic u. It's just the ones that go in the ear hole that are the issue.Hey, whatever works for you. (I think it’s easier to use commercial PPE, though.)
Any one tried DeciBullz yet? These are custom molded ones, like I used to have at previous job, but you mold at home. I keep forgetting to mold them when times are easy, and remember them when I open the ear plug drawer to go do a job. Shredding branches soon. Maybe after tonight's shower I will fit them.

That's the ones I have. There's a pair at every noisy workstation, on the Dingo and tractor. They sure cut down the racket. My 15 year old $8 SAS muffs broke. 99% of their use is standing next to my compressor using a blasting cabinet maybe 10-15 minutes a month on average. Anyone like these 3M muffs on Amazon for $21?
