I think it fits pretty well in my HF 44" top box. Enough room left over for some Cornwell sets on the side to bring my 3/8 drive impact sockets up to 24mm.
Is there a reason to have 3/8 up to 24 mm? Or do you just already have them. I would have switched over to 1/2 drive a while before that.

... Unless clearance is an issue. Clearance is the main reason for my hatred of 1/2" drive impacts.

Ya, that's exactly why i bought my first SAE sunnex master kit. Because it went to 1" without skipping sizes. With the quality of steel these days, a 3/8 square is plenty strong for that size. Then you can use a low profile 3/8 impact to get in there.

I bought all these 3/8 sockets to go with my M18 Fuel 3/8 impact. I wanted all the sizes I could get. If I need more power I have both master SAE and metric Sunex 1/2 sets as well.

I had put the 3580 set in my cart this morning on jet.com and had it come out to $197 after tax, just go to order it and they are saying it is no longer available :willy_nil
Has anyone else ordered them from another place at close to the same price?
Will end up ordering from tooltopia for $205 if I cant find it significantly cheaper.

JBToolSales.com has it for $199.99, but they seem to be out of stock. Not sure if they'll get more or not.

UPS was good to me today :)

I ordered the 1/2 kits from eBay - arctic tools. They were well packaged and in great shape.

The 3/8 kit was from jb tools - it was loosely packed in a larger box and the case had a dent.

Overall very happy, now I need something to use them on!

Thank you to all of those who recommended these sockets

I was able to get a 3580 from them this afternoon. I ordered it from JET today at 12:12pm EST. Ended up being $183.81 after coupon.

I had added it this morning at $184 but sales tax took it up to 197. Should have just ordered it then before they sold out.

Same dent (dents in two corners actually) in mine that arrived today from ToolTopia via Amazon. I think I could pop them out if I really wanted to. Stuffed diagonally in a flimsy box with a nonsensical wad of craft paper in with it. The dents don't bother me really and the 80 pc jigsaw puzzle only took a few minutes to complete. Sizes are both stamped and printed on each socket. For a net cost of $105.50, I'm more than satisfied. Ordered Labor day the 7th and got them here in MI 3 days later.

FYI - You can put the entire 3580 kit on the Westling Machine socket trays using 1 each of the 3/8" metric, SAE and universal trays. This takes up about a 1/3rd of the room the plastic case uses.

All the metrics (shallow/deep/universals) except the 16mm shallow/deep fit on one tray. The pins are too close between the 15 and 16mm. However, there is room for the 16mm sockets on the universal tray that just holds the internal/external Torx and universal extension.

Mine arrived today. 1 Set of 3580, 2568 and 2569. All were packed nicely in fitting boxes, which I'm kind of surprised about considering the other posts in this thread. Cardboard filler to keep the items protected. No damage to the cases and all the sockets were in place for all items. Ordered from 3 separate sites: JBToolSales for the 3580, Arctic Tools on Ebay for the 2568 and the 2569 from Quality Tools for Less.

Mind if I ask what your total cost will be after the rebates come in?

$203.15, quite a deal for the sheer amount of sockets.

If you count that I bought the ebay gift cards for 15% off that I used to pay for the Arctic Tools 2568 set, then $177.67

Assuming you know because you have done it, would you mind sharing a picture?

I decided to put the 1/2 kits on rails but am unsure about organizing the 3/8 or keeping it in its box for portability.

I ended up getting all 3 sets, they all appear to be excellent quality for the money. I sent all my rebates in, I sent each one separately since I didn't want to risk $300 worth of rebates possibly getting lost in the mail at the same time. Crossing my fingers they all go through. Now I need to figure out a way to organize them all in my toolbox since the cases they came with take up too much room.

Yeah I ended up getting all 3 sets and I mailed them out separately this morning also. I have had some issues with mail lately at several different post offices so might as will disperse the risk I guess :)

Wow the prices have really gone up in the last week on the 1/2 drive sets...a friend went to buy a set of each and everywhere was at least 20 bucks more than I paid a week ago

Does SD really get that much traffic?

yes it does. When i looked awhile ago it was getting something like 500 million visits a year.

Ive seen this happen a couple times. A good deal that is around for awhile and then gets posted to slickdeals and goes out of stock very fast. Especially as it often went deal on site 1, gets posted to slickdeals, then gets posted to site 2, 3, and 4.

Which is a bummer as i was going to pick up 2 of the master metric sets. Ill give it another week and see if the prices come back down before i order.

This is my plan too. I've been in contact with JBTools over the past week. They have it listed OOS at $135, but in stock at $151. I questioned that and he said "it's because they are 2 different suppliers". He also said the $135 will be in stock in 7-10 days. I'm guessing demand went up so he increased price and once demand drops, so will price.

There isn't any worthwhile money to be made on the flip so if that's really their goal they're in for a surprise. I ran some numbers quick on the only set worth reselling (3/8 master) and shipping would hit you for about $40, at the minimum. Probably closer to $50. If you sell through ebay then sale fees + paypal would be another 13%. So say you did a BIN at 199 to compete with the lowest prices on the internet, less 13% = roughly $170 less $40 is $130. Worth the hassle to make $30 a set, maybe encounter a shipping issue or a scammer? Not even close. If you could dump them locally to some poor suckers then its worth it. Likewise if you piecemeal the set out using flat rate boxes but that's quite a bit of work. Through Amazon or Ebay though, just go get a minimum wage job.

Then there's the matter of the missing UPC assuming the reseller redeems the rebate. If I bought a set on ebay, listed as new, and nowhere in the description does it reveal the UPC has been removed, then we'd have problems. If I bought it online expecting new/unopened condition, expecting the UPC to be there, and it's not, the seller's going to have to compensate me for the value of the rebate or I'd file a claim for item not as described.

You can use it to buy things online by giving your name and address. The credit card company actually has that on file from your rebate application.

I just use them to pay for gas, booze and loose women. Zero them out in no time.

You cannot pay at the pump with these cards. You have to go in and tell them how much. It won't go through at the pump even as debit. I called to verify this as well after it was declined several times.

That was my experience today -- declined at the pump, but works just fine if you go in and swipe to prepay with assistance from the cashier.
