Is it an air/air heat pump?
I have an water/water heat pump with 1200meters 40mm Pel pipe.
During the last couple of weeks we also only had about 13 to 16 inside the house.
The MRs wasn't happy about it.
My plan is to install a wood chip boiler next year also to heat the garage.
Are you planning on heating the household and garage with your heat pump ?

A good alternative when it's cold is to have an 4kw gas heater. That makes it a bit more pleasant :)

Seems like you got some cool toys to play with :)

Thanks for stepping by my garage.

This one seems interesting also.
Good job so far.

Yes air/air in the shop, but its a little bit to small for that space.

In the house we have geothermal heating (google translate), works unbelievable well, 21 degrees in the whole house 24/7, and not that expensive you can think :)

We also have a wood burner in the living room, but if I light it up its gets almost to hot haha :p

How about some pics/info on the engine in the drift car? I like the hp number!

Yeah 450-460 at the wheels with the "right" gearbox and rear axle is very pleasant :)

I can upload some pics in the end of this post :)

Sweet looking Shop! Impressed you still have time to work on cars with all the house work.

Thank you! The house is finished on the inside for now, and during the winter my plan was to be able to do as much as possible in the shop, and the plan is kind of following :)

Spring/summer we are gonna build some fences, porsh, redo the deck at the front of the house, change the last to windows and if we can afford we will paint the house, and some landscaping :)

Took me a few months to redo the inside with the cage, the engine bay and the outside paint of the car.

Now that's a turbocharger! You know you're doing it right when it's the same size as your engine!

Hehe yup, too bad its rather useless on my small 2.3 l 4 cyl engine. The head's had bunch of work but its still to big exhaust house on the turbo. Next time it will probably be a small precision 56** somethingsomething :p

Today I finished the lights in the car space, tool room and the storage room. I haven't done anything in the room with all the bricks n boards.

I'm very pleased with the result. I bought 40 "lights" and got 300 "light pipes" for 100 $, the wire n some metal racks costed me 150 $, so with 250 $ i can get nice lightning in the whole shop, the other garage and in the house basement [emoji4]

As usually on saturdays, beer time [emoji482][emoji4]

Cya!

Hi!

Bought a new daily couple days ago, a Volvo 244 -79, same day I lowered it and borrowed my girlfriends summer wheels for a while until I buy some new ones.

1636d665c04c374e0eafcf99c1758f94.jpg

And also got a new Athena head gasket and some ARP bolts for the head in my drift car, removed all stuff yesterday and will finish everything this weekend, hope everything still works so I can show u guys some burnout pictures :)

f0a8147f39a7ba8d6d8461fa44ddf404.jpg

I also started getting rid of the bricks in the last room, a little less than half of it left. After clearing I will fix som stuco issues on the walls, paint it and put up some old tin up in the roof and also the lower part of the walls.

Im calling this the machine room, when I get a lathe, tire machine, drill press, shop press, bigger air compressor etc..

:)

It just keeps getting better and better. Your home shop will make many professional automotive mechanics very envious. Lots of space and well equipped. You will really enjoy having a mill and lathe. You can do so much with them. Wait for the right deal on good machines. I bought junk the first time around and I wish I had held out for better machines.

Howdy!

No big or fun updates actually, but I still managed to get some done.

Changed the headgasket and some other parts on the drifter, some minor problems after the testdrive but hey, it works.

Got rid of all the bricks in the "future machine room", painted the walls, installed lights and ran some wires.

Gonna have to wait a month so I can buy more oulets n wires. Im thinking 4st double 220v outlets and 6st 400v (3-phase) outlets in there. Also gonna put 2st 3-phase outlets in the "car area" for welder etc.

If the weather is good this spring n summer Im gonna fix up all 3 garage doors. New panels on the outside, bettet glads and some paint on the inside.

ff61f5a279c3f17b44930ca43dc66b19.jpg

Old motor oil on the floor in the machine room. I want to paint the floor with the same color as I have in the two small rooms. What would u guys do before? Grind and wash? Will the 2k color stick?

Also had some tips from my helper in the shop the other days, big service on the girlfriends car ;)

That 244 makes me miss my old blue 144S. Still think about getting an old Volvo back periodically.

Just curious on the heating. in parts of the US guys have put in waste oil heaters in thier shops. Wonder it that might be a possible option over there.

Cool cars! Is the pickup yours as well?

Love the sign on the "122S" that we call Amazon, "Volvo - Drive Safely" ;)

Thanks! The pickup used to belong to my stepbrother; very nice truck, leather, diesel, very well maintained. He sold it last year before he started working for Faraday Future. I bought a similar one last week, a 2002 GMC Sierra 3500 with a dump body.

I love your shop and Volvos. :) My dad took a '73 Volvo 140 wagon (forest green) in on trade when I was 13. I wanted to keep it, but he sold it. There are a lot of Volvo enthusiasts in North America.

Okej, I've always been a big fan of pickups :)

Sierra 3500, not so easy to park with I guess? :p

Just checking in on your progress, your shop and cars look fantastic.

Many thanks for sharing.

Regards

Many many thanks :)

Later this afternoon I will build a new exhaust (the last 1.2 meters) of it on my girlfriends car, also gonna try to locate a leak from the power steering.

This coming weekend is Easter, so I might just do pretty much nothing more than eating and drinking :)

Very cool shop space! I'm jealous that you have 3 phase power available there... Those of us on this side of the pond have to mess around with variable frequency drives and phase converters to run 3 phase equipment :(

Love the cars as well, there's nothing like the sound of a built Volvo!

Thank you! Yeah they are kinda rare even here in Sweden nowadays, I payed 1500$ for my blue one, my girlfriend bought her red 945 turbo wagon in january for 900$, mine is a -79 and hers is -97 :p

Even in holland three phase to a residential is a pita. Power company's don't deliver three phase standard. They charge a lot to hook it up then add a monthly fee of 50 euros to your bill and charge extra for the kilowatts you use.

Awesome garage! Even more awesome Volvos! Man I love Swedish cars! Pity bout Saab had a 99 once and loved it!

My little hobby tig won't do much more that 4 mm steel anyway which is actually about the limit of what I do at home anyway. Variable frequency devices sort out the drill press and belt grinder.

If I need more power ( yes too much power is only just enough) I have to go to my dads shop. His 3 phase cebora mig is nice.

I guess what I am saying is we make do. That said it's annoying.

Great progress the gravel is perfect!

Thank you Sean :)

Snyggt och städat. La med grus på min innergård. har kullersten under..

Tack! Ja grus blir lite jämnare än kullersten, eller som i mitt fal jord, lera, gräs och några singelbitar :)

Looking good!
