That box is not supposed to have a side box mounted to it. There's no telling how the seller has the thing fastened on there; I wouldn't want to know. For 20K, I'd much rather have two brand new KRL1023's.

For 20K you could buy a new Cornwell master set with 65" box, canopy, and side locker. Don't think I would pay 20K for 80's vintage SO box with old tools in it.

Yeah that seller's a damn idiot. I got sick of looking at craigslist because of all the wackos like that.

while that price definatly would have to be talked about, the box is sweetand the tools in the pics do look to be in super condition.... a little more detail would help him a long way towards getting serious responses though

i never cared for that box and i guess i wasn't alone since they didn't sell well. for twenty grand even with tools it would have to have a drawer full of unmarked $100 bills.

I was wondering how he affixed that on there as well. I'm scared to think.

I ran across a guy selling the contents of his box here locally awhile back. He had the exact same box and it'd been in storage at his parents house for at least 15 years. IIRC he was asking $1500 for the box and even though there were 20+ guys there scouping up tools by the handful (literally it was a madhouse.. I almost left it was so disorganized and guys just grabbing stuff, etc) no one even looked edgeways at the box. Its a weird setup for sure.

thats a nice looking box. it would be perfect for a guy who has a bunch of hand tools as well as power tools. i don't know about the value but some people need to be reminded that tools aren't an investment. you can't buy 6k worth of tools and sell it for 20k 25 years later. he'll have to hold on to it for another 60 years to get that kinda money out of it.
