And why do the points you may have expire so fast? You ought to have at least a year or two to use up your points. Not a month or two.
...
The regular points I earn on a purchase have at least a year before they expire. Don't know why it's different for you.

Here's an excerpt from their terms and conditions:

"ALL POINTS EXPIRE WITHOUT CREDIT, PAYMENT, OR OTHER VALUE TO YOU AT THE END OF THE CALENDAR QUARTER THAT INCLUDES THE 12 MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DATE THOSE POINTS WERE EARNED. Calendar-quarter end dates are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. For example, Points earned on November 1, 2011 expire on December 31, 2012."

The free points they give out usually have the short expiration, and they clearly state the shorter time in the offer. It actually makes perfect sense from a business standpoint. The goal is to keep the customer shopping continuously, not for them to save up those free points over several months and then use them all at once on a single big purchase.

Hmmm I thought I knew my SYW points PIN but I guess not. I found where I can reset my PIN but I need to know my old one. Anyone know how to get your current PIN emailed to you? Thanks.

:dunno: Try this -
From your SYWR pg click your points - under your name click Manage your account - scroll down Your PIN (?) to the right click EDIT.

Should be self explanatory from there.

When you first set up your SYW account, the pin is by default your zip code. Try that.

Not saying there aren't the occasional good deals. But to give an example of their crazy prices, their 5/8 rubber hoses that people like go from $25 for 50 ft to a special limited time $10 off $50 purchase in garden to then $20 without any syw points to then $18 to then $10 but club only but oops too late only lasted 5 minutes sorry back up to $35 now. You get my point.

Trying to actually buy one of these things at less than $20 is really quite hard.
06/10/14 - Deal Of The Day - $19.99

They keep sending me surprise points for garbage like clothes and jewelry, have you not noticed that the only thing I buy is tools!

Ha! I get the same **** all the time too. This time around I got $25 in points to spend on $25 in the home department at Kmart. I actually used it to buy some blackout curtains since I work mids. I have a $10 on $10 at Sears in the home department too. I'll probably use it as long as I can find something useful. The only time I'll use points in another department is when it will cost me nothing.

Got an email today saying that if I link up my visa card I'll get up to a $10 points match for a single purchase at Burger King. I see a 900 calorie Whopper in my future.

I have started doing the local ad deal where you get points for the next week.

I am going to by 2 of the garden hoses for $19.99, that is a screaming good price. Nickel plated brass ends too.
