The regular points I earn on a purchase have at least a year before they expire. Don't know why it's different for you....
And why do the points you may have expire so fast? You ought to have at least a year or two to use up your points. Not a month or two.
...
Here's an excerpt from their terms and conditions:
"ALL POINTS EXPIRE WITHOUT CREDIT, PAYMENT, OR OTHER VALUE TO YOU AT THE END OF THE CALENDAR QUARTER THAT INCLUDES THE 12 MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DATE THOSE POINTS WERE EARNED. Calendar-quarter end dates are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. For example, Points earned on November 1, 2011 expire on December 31, 2012."
The free points they give out usually have the short expiration, and they clearly state the shorter time in the offer. It actually makes perfect sense from a business standpoint. The goal is to keep the customer shopping continuously, not for them to save up those free points over several months and then use them all at once on a single big purchase.
