. So how much time did this take to do?WoW T!
Bret
I can't believe what you did with that!
It turned out amazing and super tidy as everything you get your hands on.
Love it!
Excellent work! I'm impressed! Of course, since we read your synopsis in 5 minutes, in our minds we think wow that was easy and only 5 minutes work. So how much time did this take to do?
About 2 weeks, I worked at evenings and weekends. Biggest task was the cleaning work inside the cabin, the dust was everywhere and didn't come off with a shopvac. I had to use hot water, soap and elbow grease
That turned out awesome! Great work!
Tapio, that's an amazing transformation. Your 30-year-old tractor looks like a well-cared for 3-month-old now. It must feel great to climb in and look straight ahead. I look forward to the exterior resurrection.
And did you noticed the new cupholders
Great Job!
, an almost new back and a almost new Deere.
That is a really nice improvement, an almost new back and a almost new Deere.

I wish my back had grease fittingsGreat transformation on the tractor! looks great! But wont that light cream colour vinyl be getting dirty a lot easier? I would have trimmed it dirt/mud brown lol!
Rudi.

T-handle, those are some nice upgrades on your tractor. Those lights especially, seems like a lot more light. The only problem was you had to clear cut your micro forest. Have you no concern for global warming?
As far as the darkness goes just remember we are fast approaching the shortest day of the year and from then on things will slowly get better.
Do you guys have any celebrations for the Solstice in your area?
Jay

Great work, T-Handle, and happy birthday!![]()
"Christmas is only two days away, you will then receive a gift" So every new tool is a birthday present around the year
Thanks Zanyad!
My birthday is 22.12 but thanks anyway!
There's a reason why I never got any birthday presents"Christmas is only two days away, you will then receive a gift" So every new tool is a birthday present around the year

Tapio, my family has a few members like you. Liane's birthday is the 18th and one of my great grandson's is on the 27th. I make sure they get a present for their birthday and the card has no holiday stuff on it.Thanks Zanyad!

Okay, so I wasn't going crazy. All this talk about the Solstice and I'm sitting here thinking "Isn't that still a few weeks away?"
I pay close attention to that date because the legal shooting hours for deer hunting in my state are setup to reference sunrise and sunset. Once the days start getting longer, I start to get a little more time to hunt each day. I know it sounds trivial, but a fair number of the deer I've taken were shot in the first or last minute of the day.
Great work on the tractor! John Deere is near and dear to my heart - one of their larger production plants was near where I grew up and a lot of my friend's Dads worked for them. Deere is also one of the larger customers of the company I work for, and a lot number of my college buddies work for them as well.
This one is made in Germany. There's some differences in a Europe model. For example the sg2 cabin has door for both sides.Tapio, my family has a few members like you. More important, my 1972 Corvette left the assembly line on 23.12.1971. I give it a hug every year but Liane gets jealous if I buy it a real present.
Very nice thought of you! You are a kind man Bob. It can be a big deal for kids.

T,
I understand if you feel slighted at Christmas time about your birthday. My younger son was born on the 17th and he hates Christmas because he always feels he get short changed on his birthday....
Great job on the John Deere. I never imagined I would enjoy seeing someone clean out their tractor cabin as much as I did. You used a variety of your skills from upholstery to repairing the instruments. Most would have just hosed it out and continued to abuse it.
Just getting to the next page![]()

We are cleaning the Legos too.
I have some cheap plywood as a surface cover.
Then I cut the pieces to size.
So it's good to have some grip.

We have sorted about 60%. I have to do six more trays. But those are easy to do and I have few plywood sheets left. I've been planning a final location for these Lego trays, I think I'll make a cabinet for these trays or I can fit them to the shelfs of the workshop. I have to plan some options.
T, I guess that just depends on your settings!

Happy Holidays!
I have to do that. It has happened a few times, when I post all the comments go to the next page and I guess it's annoying to search what everybody is commenting
Not a big deal.Oh you can change the page count somewhereI have to do that.
. After cleaning, building trays and sorting all those legos, I might have waited a year until the shop manager outgrew them and then given them away.
Try this
Have fun with the Legos....
You should sent some cheapbirch firewood/plywood over to us in the US. I know Sakurama would love it....

Oh dear Lord. We've lost him
If I ever feel like my OCD is getting the best of me, I'll come back to this thread and feel better![]()

T-Handle, uh, nice job on the lego organizing.. After cleaning, building trays and sorting all those legos, I might have waited a year until the shop manager outgrew them and then given them away.
Are you going to build some type of cabinet to hold all those trays?
Jay
WOW!
Bret

i just love how you sort your small items..I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product. I’m also in the middle of a Lego organization project myself. Turning a spare bedroom into a Lego themed TV room. Our six children all grew up getting them on every occasion, now they are systematically moving out and ‘willing’ them back to me. I’m subscribed to this thread for ideas; no pressure.
