Taskforce Air hose reel $23.99 Lowes

Well my $50.00 worth of hose reels just got me for another $300.00 . I picked up plenty of 3/4" copper pipe , fittings full port ball valves and such to run copper lines through my whole garage . .

i just picked up 3 more, 6 total.
i did the print out and took it to my local lowes.mod was atotal ****. said he only had to match a 60 mile radius. i used the og nc print out , im in sw mo.

so i needed to head down to dallas this weekend. i went online and found one on sale for 23 in durant ok i think, on the way to dallas. bought it. went to mc alester ok and got 2 more at the price match reg 79 down to 23.
i then went to a dallas store, showed the only 2 recipts and got the last one there. went to another one in dallas. it was on sale for 51,s o all my recipts and got 2 more for 23.

its kind of getting addicting!!!

None left here in the Denver area.
The Arvada store does have one left but it's not a new condition.
It's really dirty and looks it has been used more than a couple of times.
If you want to go look, $23 is a garage sale price but I passed.

I'll be keeping my eye on the Harbor Freight version and keep checking inventory at Lowes in the next week or so.

I lucked out thanks to all the info everyone here posted. I printed out the page from the original poster and started calling around; none in Topeka, but 4 of them 60 miles down the road in Shawnee Kansas. The store mgr is a nice guy, but did not seem overly thrilled to let them go for the $23.99 price but reluctantly agrees provided I bring the printout showing the markdown price. Two hours later I am back home with 4 of them in hand. THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT PROVIDED HELPFUL TIPS TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Finally got 2 after 2 trips to local Lowes and 2 calls to corporate offices for their resistance to match store 1060's price. I found a store that was within 30 miles that had that price advertised online(none in stock). After basically the manager yelling at me he gave me the price and told me he wouldn't do it on anymore of these (I took the last 2 ) . I turned to him and smiled (tried not to use a $H!t-eating grin) and said thank you, some how I knew this would be a conversation I would have again at some future time for some future item.

Dang, not sold at stores near me in SF bay area, I can't even price match something they do not stock.

Did you actually go to the stores?The same thing came up when I looked them up online.The same thing happened when I looked up the Gladiator cabinets.

Next day I went to Union City and they had five Gladiator cabinets.I picked up 4 and there is still one there plus the display.

Then I went to Fremont and got one reel,then a ride over to Sunnyvale and got another one.You will need to visit the stores to find out.

If you go I bet that they are there.

I was told that there may still be some at the Dublin store.

Check it out and let me know.I can use a few more if Dublin still has them.

Just so you know I am not hogging 4 of them, I plan to keep only one. The other three are going to a couple guys I owe a favor, and the BIL. Also, if I had ready access close by I would pick one up for you, but at this point the nearest one to me is now 2 hrs drive one way. I would help if I could, sorry and good luck. Perhaps a fellow GJ brother will be willing to step up and share the love.

Well this blows. There is one local store that has this in stock but they refuse to price match. I've called their national customer service #; We'll see if it does any good. Lady I talked with says it is up to the individual store whether or not they choose to pricematch.

I was told the same thing at a Michigan store.....it's up to the individual store. I asked the manager that stores in other states were honoring the discounted price why can't he....he said that he would honored it also.

I bought the 4 that the Shawnee Mission Road store just across the state line had yesterday(no more there). I did not check the Kansas City Mo. stores. I know St. Joe had some, I forget how many though.

There were some in Wichita and Salina too. That is all I can tell you. I did set the whole thing up over the phone with a store manager before driving in from Topeka to pick them up. Make sure you have a printout to take with you. My deal went smooth as silk, though the manager was not very thrilled he was cordial and did do the price match. Good Luck

BTW: I was a good guy with my four. I owed a friend just finishing his detached shop $25 for the last six months. I called him and told him he could have the $25 I owe him or one of these reels, his choice! He is a smart bird, which do you think he chose!

Well, I got a call from the manager of the local store. He said to come on in and they would honor the price. Picked up the only one they had in stock. Now, I can take me receipt and hit the store in Fresno for one or two, if they have them.

If anyone still wants an air hose reel, there are two left at the Lowes store across from Concord Mills Mall in Concord, NC. I went by this morning and they are not even marked down. I don't think they can give you an argument about regional pricing since the store that started this is only 15 miles away in Charlotte. I bought mine at the University store in Charlotte. Just wanted to pass this on, Good Luck!

I went in expecting a hassle and to have to make a call to corporate. Found one in Carrollton, TX (Dallas suburb) priced at 79.99. Had a printout from the original store and one from one here in Dallas. Took it to the regular checkout and it rang up 79.99. Handed the clerk the printouts, he looked at them, poked the computer a few times and asked me to swipe my card.

The only problem I had was hanging the blasted thing. Anyone have any recommendations on how to get a bolt in the top hole on the right? I mounted mine to my wall (after screwing a piece of plywood that spans a couple of studs), but I only have 3 bolts holding it because I can't even get the 4th in the hole.

Finally found one today!! They actually had 2, but after thinking about it, I only took 1. Both boxes looked beat, but I pulled it out and checked to make sure it was OK before I bought it. Went up to the register and they had no problem with matching the price!

I grabbed one today from the Plymouth Meeting, PA Lowes. The clerk at the register called the manager over. He seemed a little upset to be "competing with other Lowes", but gave me the lower price in the end.

FYI, as of 12:00 today, there were still three in stock at the Plymouth Meeting, PA Lowes. One appeared to have been a return; the other two looked fine.

Whoa...did I like out! I logged in over the weekend and caught the thread. Stopped by my local Lowe's this am and picked up the last one for 29.99...couldn't turn it down when its listing for $79.99.

What type bolts are you mounting the reel with? I going on a wall...8" cinder block.

I was in my local Lowes today and saw the reel marked at $79.88. Before this buying mania erupted, it was priced a hair under $50. All I can think is that the Lowes beancounters are seeing a big spike in sales of these things and piling on the price.

So, the GJ is indirectly setting the prices at Lowes. At least with Gladiator wall cabs and Taskforce hose reels. Somehow I find that pretty cool.

I checked the now Famous store # 1060 and there price online says 68.38 - none in stock.

All the tags I see in the local stores I'v been in are back to 79.88, but none are in stock .

Mounting hardware depends on how you intend to mount it, so no, nothing but the hose reel with hose, and a 3 ft leader hose. Not even any instructions or suggestions or warnings.

Went to the Lowe's website, plugged in the 1060 store number, found the #1060 local store listing for the hose reel @ $23.99, and then searched my local stores for inventory. I wanted two, so I actually had to go to two separate Lowe's locations in my area due to low stock, but neither gave me any grief for the price match. In fact, both department managers that had to OK the price reduction told me it was official Lowe's policy to internally price match other Lowe's stores. Odd that other's on here are getting grief or complete denials on the same transaction.
