Techshield OSB for interior walls?

So I've got my 30x30 metal man cave up and am currently putting up studs, horizontally 16" OC, between my 5 foot spaced frames of the building (see my thread here).

I was thinking about use the Techshield OSB board as a way to help deflect heat. Instead of installing the OSB board with the foil side facing in and not being able to paint it, etc., would I be able to install it with the foil side facing the exterior wall since there will be a 3-4 inch gap between it and the exterior wall?

That is the main way I see that product working. The air gap is critical as you mentioned. I never understood the application the way it's marketed. To me all it does when installed with the foil facing in is to radiate the heat back down.

It would not really make a huge difference on the walls though. Insulation would be a much better method.

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking since this is only a $1 more then standard OSB, it couldn't hurt. Since I'm only going 8ft up on a 12ft wall, I'll probably still have insulation blown in after all is said and done. I'm glad my thinking was totally off, though!
