I can't bring myself to buy a non- roto 3/8 that dwarfs my 3/8 breaker bar. Then again, the 10.5 sk3870 always worked fine in the past for lug nuts so why would I?

I bought one of these and they are really a nice ratchet. The COO is Taiwan. It doesn't say it on the ratchet, just on the hang tag.

Just so others realize, this deal is on Amazon Canada's website, not Amazon U.S. and the OP is in Canada. I don't think anyone in the U.S. can get the deal. I tried seeing if it would allow me to buy one (I am in Washington) because I just wanted to see if it would work. It would allow me to sign in using my U.S. Amazon username and password, and I could add the item to my cart, but it would not let me select my U.S. based address for shipping. It instead told me there was an error preventing me from purchasing the item.

I thought every border province resident had a friendly border state U.S. address friend and vice versa.

I'm kidding of course, but if you're that intent on an Amazon-listed item, use camelcamelcamel.

Country of Origin is Taiwan. I've been using this on a 350smc rebuild. I like it quite a bit. Flex head would be nice, but sometimes a straight on is nice for really laying into it.

Just got it this morning, such a huge box for a ratchet. Ratchet is balanced well and the knurling is good also, not smooth or overly aggressive.

For 12.85, couldn't go wrong!!

Just an update. On Tuesday I decided to test the ratchet strength. So I put a 3/8 to 1/2 adapter on. Put a 36mm socket on. Went to my Trailblazer axle nut and attempted to remove it. The ratchet "piece" sheared off. Call tekton and told them. They asked me to return back to amazon, told them I threw all the paper work away. So the guy said he would ship me a new ratchet. Told him all I needed was a repair kit, told that there was none in stock. So today I got home and received my ratchet.

Excellent customer service, 2 days turn around time, couldn't be happier.

This was the first time I ever broke a ratchet. This ratchet is made for reach not leverage. If used properly shouldn't be a problem.

May have to search for a repair kit and get the other one going.

I'm working on getting a rebuild kit around.

Also, They are pretty strong, but as always Breaker bars are ideal for breaking fasteners loose then ratchets for the rest.

But I know I don't always play by the rules.

They shouldn't have replaced that ratchet; that's abuse. You ain't gonna break 150+ pounds of torque with even a 1/2" ratchet.

Why do people do this kind of stuff?:dunno:
