I was looking at the Tekton screwdrivers posted earlier and saw this mallet. Yeah, I caved…
That’s the feel I get from a large part of their catalog. There are some good things sprinkled in amongst the bargain bin dollar store stuff.Boy, that thing has a bit of a dollar store look to it. Maybe ‘cause it reminds me of a rubber mallet I got for a buck at Kresge’s in my home town when I was in high school in the early 1970s. (A mallet I still have and still use!)
EPOXY is your best friend. In for one! Great for quick use when you don't care much. If the heads loosen up, just a bit of silicone should fix that.

I have one of those, it’s been great.
Does not compute…not bad. Made in China.
That is true!Mine also arrived. Not a bad little hammer IMHO.
Remember, not everything made in the USA is awesome and not everything made in China *****.

I already have a couple of the estwing deadblow hammers and they are great. Plus framing hammer, 2 claws, 3 ball peen, chipping, drilling, and the brick hammer. I’m a big fan.I try to buy from manufacturers I want to see survive. I don’t see any value in middlemen. There will always be another distributor. Estwing has one for $8 more with a hickory handle. They can really use the business.
While I’m a sometimes disappointed when an American tool is garbage, I’m never surprised when the same is true of a Chinese sourced tool.Absolutely. I've burned myself a few times thinking "oh it's made in USA it's gotta be better/top quality" and turned out it wasn't any better than a cheap import.
4 Pcs Rubber Hammer Replacement Striking HeadReceived it yesterday. Decent hammer especially for the money. Did anyone see the replacement tips available anywhere?
