Service kit received and I converted my standard 1/4” ratchet to the 3/8” anvil. If you compare the contents - the only difference is anvil/gear itself. In this case, the only part used out of the kit was the anvil.

Rather than clutter the board with another thread I'll put this in here:


I believe this is the style of ratchet sold by Dewalt, Carlyle and a few others but this is the first time I've seen a 3/8" drive in a 1/4" body. Looks to be priced about the same as the Tekton.

Our good friend Mr, B attributes this style to a Taiwanese manufacturer High Five (I believe). 72 tooth and a head about as small as you'll find. I have this ratchet in a couple variations and the Tekton 90 in a couple variations. The Tekton is smoother but bigger body so there is a tradeoff.
