Tekton socket set case - sockets jumbled around immediately after closing and moving

I bought this set for my truck and the plastic blow mold case is pretty bad. It can't hold sockets in place at all and I'm not throwing it around or anything

I've tried stuffing paper in here in addition to the foam pad but its not happening

Any suggestions ? Should I look into an aftermarket blow mold case? Where can I get those?

Try using a thin piece of foam. You should be able to find at any craft store.

Sears has some good flat blow mold cases. I believe some are advertised for trucks.

I would cut to size various thicknesses of bubble wrap and place it inside the case until one works. I purchased a Gearwrench Vortex bit socket set that didn't come with a foam separator and I faced the same issue as you. The bubble wrap worked for me.

I just cut a piece of regular cardboard to put inside mine. It's been working for going on 20 years.

I cut-to-fit a piece from an old closed cell foam sleeping pad used for camping. You could find a cheap one at Walmart.

You could try cutting some drawer liner to size and see if that helps. Might take two or three pieces but the grip on the drawer liner might help more than foam.

As others have suggested bubble wrap or cardboard might work. I would tray a cut down piece of yoga mat. It's cheap, compressible, and it won't fall apart.

Another idea would be to get 2 inch wide adhesive Velcro but, only use the pile side, and place strips on the underside of the lid. Good luck!!
