I'm new to this forum, but have found lots of helpful information on this site. I currently am living in Iowa; I went to school out here at Iowa State and got a degree in Agricultural Engineering. I started working with a small research company right out of college designing and building machines for deep sea oil exploration. But in June the company went under and filed bankruptcy so I had to find a new job. Well I got a job up at John Deere working as an Engineer with engines. So for the time being I'm renting a house; the garage is a small one car garage that was outdated electrically and poorly built. The first thing I did was rewire the entire garage, it used to be all on one 20A breaker. So I added another 20A breaker. The lights and garage door are on their own breaker now. I placed outlets every 6', which I think is code now, and have a 20A GFCI outlet to start the run - I'll probably only use this for my welder. Then I insulated using R-13 and put OSB over top that. My plans for the garage are to use it for working on my truck and a couple other mechanic projects I have. The next thing I am going to do is paint the OSB, put mop board along the base, and put up some 1"x4" pieces to cover the seams. I am not sure what to do to insulate the ceiling. It's a detached garage, 16x22. I am always up for suggestions and people's opinions.

I hope the landlord gives you the final two months off free of charge.
