This forum is the exact same layout and feel as many others I frequent. Most of them have a "Thanks" button down where the quote and quick-reply buttons are.

Has the admin here given any thought to adding Like or Thanks buttons?
There are a lot of threads I agree with as far as technical or code advice goes, thing is I don't always like to add a new reply simply to say "I agree" or +1.

Is this something that might be considered? I'm sure it's already in the forum software.

After the recent barrage of SPAM, Ryan may be switching from the VBulletin format to Xenforo. If that is in the works, I doubt he will make any changes to the format we are currently using.

However, I could and may be wrong.

so how will this switch effect us?

:see:

no man thank you guys for being patient...

What this probably means is that we are gonna have to get off of Vbulletin soon and go to Xenforo like we have done on jalopyjournal.com.

It's a **** ton of work and will initially piss plenty of you off, but once you get used to it, it is so much better than VB.

:)Went over to HAMB and the changes to us looks like no big deal. We read things. We post things. Attach picture. What else is there?:)

Go over to HAMB and check out what they are using.

Not sure and I can't answer that. I'm not a member of HAMB so I don't post over there. I remember just checking it out after Ryan made the switch. Hopefully it all works the same or really close, if not, it might get really busy answering questions but we'll deal with that when the time comes.

I've been through the changes on the H.A.M.B. plenty did not like it but in the end you will find minor changes that are different. Given time it is easier to work with and better than the system here. Getting used to the change will take time for some of you but if you are a H.A.M.B. member then you will adapt to the change very quickly.

Edited Note: I still see the odd SPAM on the H.A.M.B. and it is still dealt with the same way reported and deleted.

It looks clean over at the HAMB, but it will take a bit of getting used to. I hope we get the same features as they do, some seem cool.
