I see ALL your photos without any problems, @Mintgrun, so before you repost everything for naught, this might be some kind of incompatibility thing. EDIT: I see them ALL on my phone (Android, Chrome) and on my laptop (Dell/MS, Edge).
Bizarre

My iPad was my first line of problems, with Chrome

With my Android phone, at home, running Chrome, still no pix in the home wifi

Turning off Wi-Fi just makes the problem slower.

And Lugz’ are fine in 20 & 21.

And the tools is still ffiiiiiinnnnnne too.

Maybe the 2 of you have the images already on your devises and they are recognized that way to you. dunno?
I thought of that, but they're not on my phone, and I can see them with the browser on my phone. :headscrat
What an amazing find AND restoration!
It looks like GreenMars could see them back in May. He was the only one who replied until @Old Radar replied today when the thread was bumped by me posting a link in the 'Hammer Taxonomy' thread.
That's definitely one of your cooler finds
Thanks. Do you see Mintgrun's photos in posts # 26, 27, 28, and 29?

Upon checking my phone (Android) they do all appear. My ASUS laptop browser is Firefox. So, Mintgrun, don't do anything rash--it's not on your end.

Well that last post of mine was while I was on page one of the thread. I didn't see the subsequent posts until now. In the mean time, I recycled power to my laptop and logged out and back in to GJ. I now see the all the photos, but can't say if it was Mintgrun's effort or mine that cleared the problem.

Thayer / John Adams Thayer, East Boston, MA / "Thayer's Patent" combination tack hammer / patent 35715 Jun 24 1862 & 264492 Sep 19 1882 John Adams Thayer / manufactured by Q.S. Backus, Winchendon, MA; Carpenter & Watkins, Winchendon, MA; and J.R. Clifford Co., Boston, MA / https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/thayers-patent-civil-war-era-combo-tool.376998/ /

The piece was manufactured by no fewer than three different businesses: Backus, Carpenter & Watkins, and J.R. Clifford Co.

"Thousands of units per day" is patently ridiculous. I know a sales pitch when I see one.

In May of 2021 one of these sold on Ebay.
I am amazed that you gentlemen managed to do the restoration job on that unit and have it turn out looking like the original (sans the knurling on the little thumbscrew):

Yes. Twertsy had turned up the first two (see post #9) and @Alex Boschma the second (see post #15) earlier. I am guessing mine is a Clifford due to the < C > logo stamped on the shank near the head (see first pic in post #21). Thanks for comfirming.

Concur.

Most of the credit goes to @Mintgrun for that, but as I probably alluded to above, besides the actual craftsmanship, it was a pleasure collaborating with someone just as interested in the research and getting it historically accurate.

It's interesting seeing that long notch piece separating like that in the eBay sale photos. Tom's is nearly seamless! :)

Those are great photos, 4-cycle. No question how the slot was made on that one. It looks like that handle got wet at some point. The filler piece I used came from the same piece of wood, but still took the stain a little differently than the rest of the piece. It's funny how much the grain orientation matters, when trying to make things blend in. I'm sure they didn't fret about such things while making them.

The brass bits are thinner metal than I used, so I (still) wonder how they got strong threads for the thumb screw. We discussed the knurling on the screws and Lugs said he has a way of adding that detail and might add them later, so I left them plain. The knurling in the photos above is diagonally aligned on the steel screw and perpendicular on the brass one. Details, details. I like working with people that care about the details.

Someone once said that the saying "the devil is in the details" was originally "God is in the details." It's fun to ponder the difference. I am not intending to bring religion into this discussion... just noting the difference between finding pleasure in them, vs suffering.

^ this one went back and forth with datamp.org - not sure, but it was most likely Stan I communicated with - three makers. confirmed.
only way to dig deeper is to pore through the local "historical society" papers, if there are any to be found.
the documentation that's already been posted here is as much as I've been able to find on this one so far, and I've gone on more than one fishing expedition on this one.

I think you're onto something on the "C" mark. Kind of makes me wonder if that detail is visible on any other specimen?
