Jack, I assume that that camera removes the pole the same way a modern BMW creates a birds'-eye view from just a few external cameras: uhh... something to do with software?
I can't find it, but I think one of the first South Main Auto videos I ever saw, he diagnosed a peculiar problem with an Isuzu Trooper, when he found a scrap of that oil bottle foil obstructing something in the valvetrain.
My first thought for your car is, "Well, make sure you buy something in 5 quart jugs, like Mobil1 15W-50, to reduce the number of foils you have to monkey with. Or buy an oil without a foil! (Schaeffer's comes to mind, only because there aren't many brands of oil in my workshop and that's 2 out of 6 cars right now...)
But really, a funnel with a screen mesh in it would have caught that! Alas, last time I hunted for a funnel with a mesh in it, I did not get very far and only found something too small for the the 12+ quarts you need to pour.
Well, well, well..

Cheap!
Now you merely need some tubing and a funnel holder on a vertical stand that stands outside the right fender, and you can pour in a civilized and safe fashion.
Speaking of funnels, I've taken to blowing them out for dust right before use.
